perfect for mothers day as i am very poor.

    • MamaMIA

Even if you weren’t poor, it should always be the thought. Fill this up with plants from home depot, with candy (from dollar tree!), with baking supplies (from dollar tree!) or just with A handwritten note and some Journaling supplies (again, from dollar tree!)
The world has onlinemercialized everything so much now that if you even pass a holiday without acknowledging it to a loved one, it’s like you no longer love them. It’s such a sad state of mind we are in.

      • Diana

        Amen!!

        • Lori

          Ditto!

      • Amy

      • Lucille

  2. Mama6

AWESOME! Thank you! I will need to stop in on Monday and check these out. I just found at my local Dollar Tree today, in the kids coloring book section, STACKS of art, sticker and paint and activity books that had originally onlinee from a Hastings store or Barnes and Noble. They were priced all the way up to $8.99 EACH! I bought my daughter, who is five, a Dora paint book that came with the paints and brush, a Dora sticker story book, and two other Disney and Nickelodeon craft books. I bought my son an activity book from The Box Trolls. It is very thick paper and he can make all the Trolls, which look somewhat like robots.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow, Mama6! Those are some great finds!

  3. Lisa

I think these would be adorable painted/sprayed! Definitely need to see if my store has these.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Ooh! I love that idea Lisa! I may do that as well! 😉

  4. Diana

    These are sooo cute!!

  5. Alli

I actually just picked both of those up!! I saw on you

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

SWEET! Super glad you could snag them Alli!

  6. Laura

They would be cute filled with some flower-shaped cookies or carrot cake muffins. Or Dollar Tree usually has some trowels I’ve painted before and flower seed packs.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

That would be super cute for sure! Thanks for the helpful suggestions Laura!

  7. Vickie

I have a Daycare, these would be perfect for Mother’s Day gifts! My kids LOVE to plant flowers or make hand print “flowers” to plant in them!

    • Angi

      I second this idea!!

  8. Nina

    Super cute planters!

  9. Kelly

I saw these thought they were cute but could not think of how to use them.

  10. Mamabug

I bought both of these the other day. Nearly left the store when my husband spied them. They match our decor nicely, but will have to decide what to do with them (put in them, etc.) in order to display them. An empty tin doesn’t look appealing. 😉

  11. Pam

What dollar store were these found out? All mine had was plastic. Boo

  12. Charlotte

🙁 Our Dollar Tree never has these and can’t find them on the website to order either.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Bummer! Sometimes the availability of these items can vary by store. Hoping you can find something similar in stock near you! Right now my store does have a large selection of other plain planter pots available. Hope that helps!

  13. Tina

I used these as gift baskets for my soaps and candles for Mother’s Day! A huge hit!!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Such a great idea, Tina! Glad to hear what hit they were!
