Check your extracare account online for additional coupons “based on your purchases.” These may be CVS or manufacturer coupons and will vary per person. I have a manufacturer coupon for $5 off $10 Garnier hair care (would not be able to use with the $4/2), plus CVS store coupons for $3 of $12 shampoo, conditioner, or hairstyling; $2 off 2 Colgate or other brand of toothpaste. Be sure to click the “Send to card” UPC icon so the coupons will be added to your CVS extracare card and be discounted at the register. I haven’t had these CVS store coupons show up for a long time, so I’m really glad to see them back!

Thanks for the heads up, Francine!

Francine, if your $5/$10 Garnier coupon came out of the CVS coupon machine or your online CVS account, then it’s considered a store coupon (even if it says MQ). The ones that say MQ just mean that the manufacturer sponsored the CVS coupon so you can double-stack your MQ and your CVS coupon. I just used a $7/2 Garnier skincare CVS coupon with 2 $2/1 Garnier cleanser MQs, along with a 30% off CVS coupon from a postcard AND a 25% CVS coupon from my email. HTH.

The $5/$10 Garnier is a ‘store’ offer, which will indeed stack with a manuf coupon. If you wanted to stack it with the $3/12 offer, you’d actually need to spend $22 for both to apply. The reason it says manuf on it is for local/state tax purposes. I am in a state where I’m charged tax pre-coupon. So if my total is $20, that’s what I’m taxed on, even if I use $20 in manuf q’s. True store coupons will reduce tax. Some of the $/$$ offers within the app are store offers, as well as your beauty bucks and any force printed EB. So the other day, I bought $20 in shampoo & conditioner and used a $4/18 Hair Care crt. This one was a store sponsored coupon, b/c it didn’t say MFR. So I was taxed on $16 instead.
So another thing, I prefer to print my q’s out at the kiosk b/c they can be used 2 days past expiration. I normally shop on Sun or Mon, but a few wks ago I couldn’t go til Tuesday so my crts that had a Mon exp date, were still good to use. If I would have sent to my card, I would have lost out b/c they would have dropped off the app on the exp date.

Its better to wait til the day before they “expire” then Print at cvs and they will last i believe an addtl week. Thats what i always do. That way if u don’t end up using them you’ll still have them for the following week :))

    • Me

I do the same thing! The negative to that is sometimes the coupons disappear after Sunday/Monday. The last few weeks the L’Oréal coupons have been disappearing after 1-2 days, so if you wait until Saturday to print, then they are gone. Just FYI.

  3. Joyce

Just fyi – if you send to card later in the week – the expiration date also extends into the next week.

  4. kimhavelka

Joyce, that is good to know. I try to print mine, though.
Heads up if you get an email for a % off, I have read reports this week of the register calculating the percent off after all manufacturer coupons and extra bucks are used to pay. It reduces your savings a great deal if you try and pay with mostly extra bucks from the previous week. I finally started getting email coupons again after a long time and I am hoping this is a temporary change.
