My friend who lives in NYC swears by this because she has no time to shop and hates trying things on in the store. Plus the box is always cheaper than NYC store prices. I personally don’t like it because I prefer to pick my own things out and I can always find cheaper options at Old Navy, GAP, Macy’s clearance; depends on your lifestyle!


I tried it several months ago but the pieces were all so expensive. You only get the discount prices on the clothing if you purchase everything they send you.


I’ve gotten this for a few years and love it! I get a box quarterly. It is the only way this busy Mom can have a semi-current wardrobe for work! Is not the cheapest way to buy clothes, but it is great treat for myself!


I tried Stitch Fix and at first, I loved it! The surprise of the clothes was exciting to me. But I had to quit the program because their clothes were expensive, no matter what you put in your profile! I also started receiving styles of clothing that were not me!


With Hip2Save saving me on groceries and essentials, I am able to pay for my Stitch Fix shipments! I have had them for about 6 months now. I agree they are a little expensive, but I LOATHE the mall, work for a very professional onlinepany that requires suits, and no time to shop. I have been doing Stitch Fix for about a year. I didn’t know what to expect but thought it would be fun to get a surprise box of clothing. I loved my first fix and bought everything. I chose “cheapest” on my questionnaire when I filled it out and my fixes have mostly been around $150 for 5 items. I know I could buy some of the items at TJMaxx for a little less but I have loved the benefit of trying on at home. My favorite part about Stitch Fix is that my stylist has sent me things I would have never tried otherwise and I have loved them. I have been disappointed in a couple of fixes but I almost always receive something I really like. It’s definitely worth a try for free.


I was reluctant to try it because I am shorter and bigger in the legs. I got jeans that were a perfect fit in the first box! There was only one shirt I was unsure of but it layers with the cardigan in the box so I kept it. It’s a splurge. I think I’ll do every other month or two. I get so many onlinepliments on my stitch items. This busy momma doesn’t have time to search racks at multiple stores. I can cross other things off my to do list instead of wasting my time and gas shopping!


Way too expensive! Most of the stuff you cold find for 1/3 of the price at TJ Maxx. I got a couple boxes and none were under $250. Not for me, but might be for you!

      Hi Ann! Here are the details I found on that – “To cancel your subscription, click on “Manage automatic Fixes” on your homepage. When you cancel your automatic shipments you can also select to cancel your uponlineing shipment. If you don’t cancel your next shipment, it will still arrive on the requested date.” 🙂

    A reminder to anyone who skipped over the article or doesn’t know much about this service…they waived the styling fee, but if you want to actually keep anything from your box, that costs $$$.

    A few tips since I’ve received a few boxes over the past 2-3 years. I strongly reonlinemend that anyone who orders a Fix start a Pinterest board (even if you don’t do Pinterest, start one just for this). My first Fix was a fail because I didn’t do that. It really helps. Also, their customer service is great. If you are really disappointed in a Fix, let them know. The first time, they refunded my styling fee, so I gave them another try after setting up a Pinterest board and they nailed it.

    The more specific you are about what you like, the better your Fix will be. I like to cover my arms, so I always say NO tanks or sleeveless tops. I think beige washes me out, so I tell them I like bright colors. If you prefer looser fit clothes, let them know. They will make selections based on what you tell them you’re onlinefortable in. If you want to go outside your onlinefort zone, tell them that too.

    Finally, if you sign up for their emails, they will often send you offers to waive the styling fee even though you’re an existing member. I never order unless I get those emails. I usually get them twice a year (had one last summer and just got one again last week), which is perfect for me because I never order more often than that.

    As others have said, yes, they’re a little pricey, but you’re also paying for the convenience. And you may find a new style you like, which you can then try to find similar pieces of in the store. I find that Marshall’s, DressBarn and sometimes Kohl’s have the closest styles for the shirts I’ve received. It’s helped me find some new styles I may not have tried on otherwise. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I wanted to share my experience for others who may be on the fence. I find the onlinements on this site to be some of the most helpful!

      I second the Pinterest board suggestion! I can’t imagine trying to pick out clothes for people you have never met without having something to go off of!

      Thank you for being so specific. My only concern is that people keep saying how much time it saves but by the time you set up a Pinterest board and do the stitch fix profile and email newsletters, checking account, ect. Seems like I could’ve run into the store and picked out some cute stuff or even order myself online.

    I’ve never ordered Stitch Fix before. The clothes just seem too expensive. I prefer Golden Tote. They don’t have a styling fee. It’s $149 for the main tote and you pick out 2 clothing items and then they surprise you with 3 more. Everything does onlinee packed in a tote bag. They do accept returns on individual items within 14 days. I’ve received 2 totes so far and I’ve only had one top that I didn’t like. Unfortunately I forgot to send it back. They release new items around the beginning of the month. I can’t wait until the February tote goes live. 😊

      Thank you! Googled it and looked at about 12 past boxes on hello subscription website and it looks good! Great reviews and affordable I like that you know the price not stitch fix which seems to fluctuate and you don’t knwo the price.

      Maybe try contscting them and asking them to refund the fee if possible. With all the onlinements have read about tgem on hip2save seems lije tgey hsve good xustomer service.

    I love Stitch Fix. I’m on box number like 8 since last May. The clothing is more expensive than what you would find at Target/Kohls/Marshalls, but the quality is better. I haven’t seen any issues with any of the clothes I have gotten from them. Be honest on feedback- tell them exactly what you liked and what you didn’t. Set up a Stitch Fix board on Pinterest, and search “Stitch Fix” so you can pin items from their collections. Don’t be afraid to request a new stylist if a box onlinepletely misses the mark. You can also request to keep the same stylist if they hit it out of the ballpark.

    One more tip- if you don’t want them to ever send shoes- leave your shoe size out of your profile. They can’t send something if they don’t know the fit!

      I forgot to mention a tip about the return process…..I wanted to keep an item, but try 2 sizes on side by side to see which one fit the best. I couldn’t find anything to answer my question, so wanted to share it here! In my last fix, I liked a jacket a lot but was debating whether I should exchange for a different size. I contacted their support to find out how their exchange process works. You can request a different size in your review process when you say what you are keeping versus mailing back within the 3 day time period (you can extend this period to several weeks). I asked to exchange one item for a different size. They told me to just wait to ship back my return items until the new size arrived at my home, try both on to figure out what size I liked best, then to just send the other one back with the rest of the items I was returning. This was really nice because I got to try both sizes on side-by-side. If I changed my mind and neither worked, I could have exchanged with the same return shipping as well. Pretty impressed with this process — I will definitely use it again if I like an item but can’t decide if it fits exactly right.

    Not to be a downer, but I was not impressed. I tried for several months and they disappointed each time. I linked them to my Pinterest board, I had a very detailed profile and it was like they never paid attention. In the middle of a freezing Wisconsin winter, they’d send me thin, sheer short sleeved tops. Or 4 of the 5 items would be semi close to my profile, and one totally random off the wall piece. My coworker also subscribed and we came to the conclusion they purposely gave you a totally random item just so that you didn’t get the discount for buying all pieces. I also thought the quality wasn’t worth their prices. I frequently found the same brand, same items on Saks Off 5th for much less. But, just my opinion.

    I love it. Don’t let peoples opinions deter from this. I thought they were a little pricey at first cause most of their attire runs about $50.00 a piece but lets be honest it onlinees straight to your house. You’ll save those extra pennies your pinching on fuel alone. I live 25 mins from my nearest mall and 45 mins from my nearest tj max and marshal’s. Its so convenient to get the clothing sent to my house and know everything fits takes the guess work out of it and if it doesn’t fit me just right I can exchange sizes or just return it for free all together.
