  The Air 2 has a fast mode that works with some materials and settings, and if the design isn’t too intricate.

  On top of the discount on cricut website orders, it also gives you access to tons of fonts to use, images and tons of projects ready to make. For projects, you can either click make it now or customize to change anything about the project. It lists all materials needed to onlineplete the project as seen and steps on how to make it. I have the $9.99/month membership and LOVE it!
  If you don’t have the membership, you can buy the font, image or project 1 time and have it for life vs having the monthly subscription, you have access to everything with the green “a” while having an active membership.

  I bought the air 2 everything starter set in October and spent $296.99 shipped. I think it was an amazing deal. Came with so much, basically a little of everything. Some materials I haven’t even used yet but I have so if I want to try something. Every so often Joann fabric will have 50% off cricut materials and supplies (vinyl, iron on, blades, mats, tools) and that’s a great time to stock up more. But the everything starter set will give you a good amount of things to get you started and making a good amount of things!!
  Only reason I went with the air 2 was just because it was a newer machine(I thought ahead for possible resale IF I didn’t use/love the machine, but that’s just me). But everything is the same on the air and air 2 except the air 2 offers a fast mode which I haven’t even used yet and not reonlinemended for intricate designs and certain materials.

  If you can swing the air, do that! It allows you to use the design space app on your phone or tablet and not just design on a onlineputer.
