   I received some diaper boxes as gift from friends so now I have 4 size 1 boxes, I don’t know which stores they were purchased from; does anyone have any idea how if stores like Target or Sams club will let me exchange them for different size? I don’t think we will use 4 boxes of size 1 or maybe I’m wrong (LO is 2 weeks old and about 8 lbs). Any input is appreciated. 🌺

  If they’re unopened and those stores sell that particular box/quantity, I doubt they would hassle you much. Probably would give you store credit or let you exchange.

  Get the ShopSavvy app and you can scan the box to see what stores that size/brand diapers came from. Usually you can exchange for bigger size without a receipt

  I would just check Target, Walmart , Sams etc websites to see how many they sell in their size 1 boxes. That should be telling because each retailer typically has different size boxes. Walmart and Target have both been good about these kinds of exchanges for me in the past. I know Sams Club is good about exchanges in general as well.

  Hi, just wanted to add that if the boxes are about 92 count you probably will use them all.
  My baby was 8 lbs when she was born and she is 16 weeks now. We’ve gone through almost 500 size 1 diapers since she was 10 lbs. She’s almost 14 lbs now.
  I also haven’t had a problem returning unopened diapers to target or walmart.

  Agreed, you’ll probably go thru them. It’s nice to have extras. If you have different brands, try them all. Mfrs will be receptive to feedback, just call the 800 number in the package. You’ll likely get coupons, if not refunds for any you onlineplain about. We tried them all until we figured out what worked in our kids. Stores take back their own brand, no questions asked. Turned out, Walgreens and Sams Club own brands were winners for us. You can experiment.

  If you have leftover diapers, its fine to keep them for the next baby, whether your own, a relative’s, a coworker, etc. It was fun making a shower gift with labed sample diapers for the mom to try a few of each brand to see what worked best for her baby.

  Babies r us, target, and Walmart are great with taking unopened diapers back for store credit or exchanging for a different size. With both my LO’s, I used a ton of size 1 and size 2 so I would probably hold onto them for a little while though 😉

  I would keep receipts with the diapers. Your grandbaby may have sensitive skin and only be able to wear 1 brand of diapers. I know our daughter changed brands with her 2. One had sensitive skin and the other was the other sex and our daughter felt different brands fit one baby better than the other baby.

  Yes, my son did well in Huggies — more absorbent in the front? — but the same diapers leaked for my daughter. She would have a lot of clean dry space in the front, but leaks in the middle.

  If you used a credit card, many people don’t realize they have price protection card benefits with their credit cards. If you can provide proof of a lower price (i.e. a screenshot) within a certain amount of days, the credit card onlinepany will credit you the difference in price. We use this benefit all the time and love it. Research it.
