OT : Has anyone received their Harry Potter box set series from amazon yet? when I ordered on the 14th, shipping was supposed to be in 1-2 days.. but “shipping is still pending”.. I’m so bummed it won’t be here before Christmas! 😢😢

    • Jennlk84

I ordered a different book last week with the coupon code on amazon and am having the same issue. It was to ship in 1-2 days and arrive by this Wednesday evening. It’s still not available and there is no way it will be here before Christmas. It’s a bummer and I hate to cancel because I got a great price with the coupon.

I received my Harry Potter box set this week. Hoping you do as well. In the past I have printed a picture and wrapped it of the item we did not get in time. 🧐

    • Chris

I too ordered a different book last week AND paid the extra $10 for 1 day shipppng. It did NOT onlinee when it said it would (3 days later) and on my Amazon tracking it actually blamed the US Postal Service!

    • SUSAN

I did order the Harry Potter set and I got it within 3 days of ordering it. Check with Amazon customer service and I am sure they will help you out.

When do they mark everything 80-90% off?

    • Joey

I’d like to know also. Thanks

  3. jamie

Michael’s is 60-70% off as well! Got a nice wreath hanger for $2 marked down from $14. Also picked up some clearance goodies for my DIY gift my in-laws are doing for Xmas exchange. Win win!

    • Bryant

My local Michael’s has been picked clean. All the good stuff gone!

Did anyone else feel like they didn’t stock as much stuff as in the past? Our stores were very empty seeming onlinepared to normally and they were constantly shifting the merchandise around and consolidating the holiday section. I was thinking they supplied my area less because they thought people in Houston wouldn’t be shopping as much because of the flood, which is pretty much true. Normally I get so much ribbon on clearance but our ribbon section is sad and dismal now.

I talked with the manager today and thought the same thing but she said their sales have been greater since people are having to replace everything. People are starting to get their insurance checks in the mail and having to buy all new decor.

      • Kat

Thanks, Brandon. That’s interesting, I never thought that’s why it could seem more empty. The flood has certainly created a boom in our local economy in so many ways with people rebuilding from scratch. I didn’t flood, but my parents did. I work on their neighborhood rebuild clmittee. In our area a lot of Christmas decor donations are being make to flood victims, so they’re not really buying. I know that’s not the case for everyone. My parents have more than exhausted their FEMA funds and their house is still pretty bare. Everyone I know that took the SBA loan is having trouble getting ahold of their loan officer to get additional funds past the $25k even though they were approved for upwards of $150-250k. I know very few flood people decorating, it breaks my heart. My parents weren’t going to put up a tree, but they were blessed with a fully decorated tree with all the trimmings from their HOA last week. They’re in an upper middle class neighborhood that’s been there for 30+ years and never flooded, so very few had flood insurance.
