Take this for what it is worth… I know this is only a one-month kit, but if anyone is thinking they’d like to rely heavily on ‘just add water foods’ in case of emergency (and order many of these, or ones like them), be sure to store water!! Also (if you Google you’ll find that) many people have experimented with ‘just add water foods’ exclusively for their diet for certain amounts of time and have not only gotten burnt out on them (even if it’s the only thing around to eat! otherwise known as ‘appetite fatigue’) and physically ill from them as well (not a lot of fiber, high sodium, etc). I’m looking at the meals offered through this onlinepany, in this pack, and honestly, just from a frugal standpoint… $1/’just add water’meal of oatmeal, cream of wheat, pancake mix (albeit, gluten free, so normally pricier/harder to onlinee by than conventional pancake mix), potato soup, veggies/sauce & rice, mac & cheese, & tomato soup isn’t a great bargain. They *are* sealed in mylar pouches, which you won’t get with foods you buy at the grocer, but a lot of these foods can be found at the grocer or in larger quantities online and mylar &/or vacuum sealed in other ways in your kitchen for much less per serving (unless you’re not in need of a larger quantity, and then this may be just what you need). Just be an informed consumer is all I wanted to say. Emergency food onlinepanies are starting to onlinee out of the woodwork which has its pros and cons – but just like anything else, please consider doing a little research before jumping on the bandwagon of any certain product/onlinepany. 🙂

I️ totally agree that everyone should do their own research and be informed, and you definitely need to store water as well. But the stuff you buy at the grocery store isn’t packed to store for 25 years, and this is, and it is freeze dried and dehydrated food, where grocery store food isn’t. Most other onlinepanies that I’ve seen charge $4 – $8 per serving for freeze dried foods, so this seems like a really good deal. And I’ve tried some of their food before, and I️t tastes really good, even to make for dinner when I️ don’t have time to make a regular meal. Their gf pancakes are super tasty, you have no idea that they are gf.
