How do you toddler proof a Christmas tree?

    • Selena

No breakable or ornaments with metal type caps within reach and hang ornaments by the loops instead of with hooks, hth.

    • Chelsey L

We put a gate around the bottom of ours one year and another year we just put the ornaments above where they could reach them.

      • Chelsey

Sorry, I meant could not reach them.

      • Lora

Does anyone know where to find deals on baby gates?

    • Bee0619

Definitely use an octagon baby gate ☺️

We place our tee in front of a window. So years ago I put a tiny nail into the top of the wooden window frame. We tie a string to the tree and then tie it on the nail. That way if the tree tips over, it won’t onlinepletely fall on the kids. My kids are in college now but it worked for many many years.

    • Amanda

You put up a felt Christmas tree on the wall. That’s as toddler proof as I can think of.

    • visitor3

Small soft toys tucked into branches, instead of ornaments, and simple things like ribbon bows, or pinecones. Here, its assumed the littles enjoy decorating and undecorating the tree, which is fine at my house. Tree Dazzler was a huge hit. Precious heirlooms can onlinee out in future years, because fussing is unnecessary stress that is no fun for me or them when stuff inevitability gets broken when they are just learning.

I’m trying since last night to pay. Will not let me onlineplete the sale.

Darn! Are you using a mobile device? Sometimes that can cause issues. If not, maybe try a different browser. Hoping it goes through for you soon!

Really want the 4 foot tree of course. 😂Can’t have it shipped to the store so $6.95 to ship a $20 tree.

Bought one for each son in apartments and one for work. The tree for the office will look great by the huge wreath I got for $10 a few months ago, thanks to Hip2Save.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet! That’s great to hear!! 😀

    I don’t need another. I don’t need another.
    I may need another.

    • Laura

Angela, I am SO in your boat right now… I’m having to physically keep my hands away from the keyboard…. Earlier this year I scored a 9′ tree for less than $50 and I SOOO want this skinny one too! But then I feel I need to buy a whole themed set of decorations, etc etc and so $40 will grow to over a hundred, I’m sure!
