   If you have a CVS nearby, they are on sale 2/$4 with your CVS card. After the coupon they are $1 each.

   Has anyone noticed a change with Silk? My boys have started telling me their milk is “yucky” but it’s only with Silk. I thought it was random, but we have tried a couple different cartons, and the boys don’t see which brand we are giving them, but they always point out when it’s Silk. (I usually just get what’s on sale).

  It’s their new “silky smooth” version. It’s disgusting. We’ve been buying this brand exclusively for 6 years now and this is by far their worst idea ever. Check your cartons and if you can find any that still have the “50% more calcium” in the upper left corner, then stock up. I can’t find any left in my stores so we’ve switched to another brand.

   Silk was originally made by Whitewave, a natural/organic independent onlinepany. That was a long time ago. They were bought by Dean Foods, a cow milk conglomerate, in 2002. There’s been years worth of controversy about the sourcing of soybeans by Dean (China or not China). The bottom line is it’s hard to have a lot of trust in them.
