I don’t know what the iLife vacuum is, but the SNES classic is not a waste of money. The one that was PREVIOUSLY on the waste of money Wednesday post was the NES Classic, which is totally different. (I wouldn’t say the NES classic is a waste either, nor would many people who onlinemented – especially since she could have always just sold the thing on eBay for more than what she paid instead of keeping it in a drawer!) Regardless, WoM Wednesday posts are the writer’s OPINION. This is a hot item, so of course they’re going to feature deals on it, even if one of their staff members does think it’s a waste. I think Hatchimals are a waste of money, but I’m sure many people were glad when those deals were posted.
As for the SNES classic, there is a previously unreleased game on it, so that alone makes it valuable. Also Google the prices for some of the games that are INCLUDED on this – Earthbound, for example, is very expensive to buy.
And sure, there’s the argument that you can just pirate the games and play the ROMs, but there is a lot to be said for the nostalgic experience of playing a game with the original controllers, and lots of people (like me) love having the retro look of the tiny SNES in their entertainment center. Maybe not for everyone, but the hard to find nature of the item clearly shows that many people love it.
