  Disabled veterans are NOT given a discount. Only active duty and retired.

  Disabled vets may not be able to get the Salute tickets, but you can still get discounted tickets and possibly room packages if you are able to purchase through ITT on base. You would also be able to stay at Shades of Green and purchase discounted theme park tickets there just like on base. We are DVC owners now but before we went whole hog we used to stay at Shades. It is a great MWR resort with very large rooms, a great pool, transportation and it is only a five minute walk to the Poly.

  @juli military have always (at least within the last 10 years, but I think more) gotten discounts at all Disney parks… a few years ago I lived abroad in Europe (working in government) and went to Disney Paris with some of my US military friends stationed in Europe and we got discounted tickets (have to have a military ID per so many ppl- I think it was 1 military ID per 3-4 ppl when we went)…. I think the discount mainly stems from them often being stationed overseas and sometimes in areas they can’t bring their families with them and not being able to see them for months (sometimes even years… and too often some onlinee back who are no longer able to make memories) vs a worker who gets to go home every day and be with family 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also in the USA they give huge discounts to locals (which I think they should stop doing)

  Trust me, I HATE MASKS!…but wearing them at Disney isn’t that bad, even with the heat. We live about 6 1/2 hours away and are annual pass holders. We have been every month since September and have reservations for MLK weekend and then again Presidents Day weekend. The last conversation we had with a cast member, masks will probably be required at Disney until 2022. As long as Disney is open and we can travel down to there, we will….mask or no mask. PS….if you plan on visiting Disney, I highly reonlinemend that you go through a super helpful, Disney knowledgeable travel agent. It is no cost to you and very helpful in getting you the best deal.

  I agree ct0211. I live in Wisconsin and went in August and November. Yes, there are times the mask is annoying (we all experience that). But, we found ourselves more distracted, especially while moving, and noticed it less than, say, at the grocery store.

  There are not formal parades right now. They do have Cavalcades (basically one float parade) that pop up throughout the day. Personally, I prefer that to waiting along a crowded street to watch the whole thing.

  Right now, they are operating at about 35% capacity. Some offerings are not available (character meet and greets, stage shows, etc) but all rides are still operating and more and more dining locations are reopening.

   I live in central FL so we go to Disney all the time, but I cannot imagine paying high Disney prices for the experience you get now during COVID. We tried once post-COVID with our annual passes, and it was just not enjoyable at all–so many features/attractions not available, no fast passes, no parades, no characters, no fireworks, and much longer than normal lines. I’d suggest using this time to save your hard-earned money and waiting until the experience is worth the $$$ again.

  Thanks for the tip! I live pretty close to Disneyland snd have thought seriously about going to Disney World, but it sounds like it would be best to wait on that. I really wish Disneyland was opened, but we’ve had so much heartbreak because of Covid in SoCal. I look forward to going when it’s safe. I have already had Covid and hope to not get it again.   Central Floridian with annual passes here…and I totally agree. If the passes weren’t Santa’s gift to the kids last year, we would have opted for the refund when they were offering to cancel passes this summer. We go about every other weekend to get the most out of them, but the magic is really lacking for the reasons already stated. No matter the rumors, it’s not a “ghost town” anymore as they’ve increased capacity but not really opened up a lot of additional shows/entertainment. Lines are long, if not due to the lack of entertainment options that siphoned off some people from the rides, then due cleaning cycles required. Masks were really tough to deal with this summer, but are better right now with the cooler weather (I’m sure that’s true all over the country), but you aren’t able to eat/drink in line now because that obviously requires you to remove your mask. Not a deal breaker for adults, but hard on kids stuck in a 60+ min line for the most popular attractions. I appreciate that Disney is doing it’s best and those workers have employment, but your definitely not getting the same experience any more.

   Yes – this is an active promotion. However, it is only valid on non-discounted room rates. I applied promotions to several clients reservations today (yes, I’m a travel agent – services are free – end shameless plug) and found that the room discounts were the better offer for nearly all my clients. Currently, there are room discounts available through July 10, 2021

  I encourage all savings methods! Have a Target RedCard, buy Disney gift cards with it for 5% off. Sam’s Member? They sell discounted gift cards. Yes, the Disney Visa has redemption and even a special offer for card holders right now.

   I encourage (sorry for the fat fingers) savings measures! Have a Target RedCard? That’s 5% off for buying Disney gift cards with that. Have a Sam’s Club membership? They sell Disney gift cards at a reduced rate. I have some other tips, though some offers are changing.

  All adults must show proof of residency at the gate. Your children would pass with your proof. Your husband would not be able to use the resident rate.
