Where does it indicate up to $12.99? I am looking at larger sizes that seem to be included, but they are $13.99. I don’t want to purchase them and then get burned. Thanks!

    • michelle (Hip2Save Sidekick)

If you use the link in the post, any of the binders should be included in the promotion. Post has been updated to reflect that – sorry for the confusion!

  2. Kris P

Can you use a reward certificate to buy an item to get another reward certificate?

    • Lisa

NO. I had to learn this the hard way!

    • Jenny

Yes. I’ve been doing it n gotten something back. Only after onlinefirming with the manager. Ive done it in july n aug of this year paying with rewards n getting rewards back

    • Kristen

Yes, you can. We’ve confirmed with the manager of the store before as well, and they said to consider the rewards as cash. And sure enough, I did get the full amount of rewards back, when I spent rewards.

      • Kur

        From their website
Office Depot® OfficeMax® Rewards Everything: Rewards are earned on the price paid for an item or service before tax and after deducting all discounts, the value of free gifts and the value of any rewards and/or merchandise certificates/cards applied to that purchase. No rewards are earned on delivery fees.

So no. Can’t get rewards if using a reward Certificate to pay

Where do you submit your receipt after you purchase the binders?

    • Michelle Price

Sorry for the confusion – your bonus rewards are automatically applied to your rewards account within 5 weeks. Log into your account at and click on “View My Rewards Certificates” to check your rewards balance.

  4. Amy

How do you submit your receipt to get the rewards? Is it automatic if you have an account?

    • Michelle Price

Hi Amy – yes, your rewards are automatically added to your account and should show up within 5 weeks according to the Office Depot/Office Max website. You can check your rewards balance by logging into your account, or you can ask a cashier at checkout.

  5. Sue

Where does it show that you get 100% back in rewards for the binders? I looked at the ad in Washington state and don’t see it. Please let me know.
    Thanks,

  6. Nata

Could I recyle my old binders also and buy it the binders after that?

  7. Arlene

This might be a silly question, but do they offer Rainchecks on these with the cashback reward offers? I just ordered the Duracell batteries yesterday and wanted to get my rewards back to pay for these. Doesn’t matter if I get another rewards back, I don’t shop at this store often to use my rewards. Thanks!

  8. Yvonne Harms

That’s my concern too. Can you use rewards to purchase more rewards items? Some of the onlinements say yes and some say no. Which is it??

  9. Hil

I used my rewards from purchasing the Duracell batteries last month to purchase one binder and Duracell batteries again. My account shows me not getting any rewards for that binder purchase but rewards for purchasing the batteries again. Kind of weird.

    • Leng

Same here. I used rewards from the battery purchase last month for the binders and I did not get rewards for those. Debating on wether I should try using the rewards for battery purchase again.

  10. Roberta Grissett

I had the issue just this week. I had $11.64 in rewards and used it to pay for a binder. I rx the difference of $2.23 back in rewards. I did a chat and this is what I was told:

“Gretchen: My apologies Princess but I’m afraid you cannot earn rewards when you pay using rewards certificate.
You: Has this recently changed? I ask this about a month ago and was told that you could.
Gretchen: My apologies for the incorrect information given but actually there are tendency that you can, for example if the promotions states : dollar back in Rewards(Everyone Pays $6, Get $5.99 back in Rewards. It’s Like Paying $.01 after Rewards), in this kind of rewards you will still get your dollar back even if you use rewards certificate or gift card.
Gretchen: However for promotions like 100% Back in Rewards and regular rewards which is 2% back in your total purchase, these are the ones that you will not earn rewards once you use rewards or gift card.”

I am not sure why they do it this way. Some of it really doesn’t match what the terms and condition says. I thought this might help .

    • alison

Roberta, this info helps. Thank you! I could not figure out why I used Rewards some times and received Rewards, but other times, I did not. After making a purchase (batteries & binders) today using Rewards, it appears that I’ll need to take the binders back. Thank you for sharing!

      • Roberta Grissett

You are very welonlinee. It can be very confusing. I always do a live chat when I have a question and most of the time they work it out. Thanks

    • Vanessa

Thanks Roberta, I didn’t know that about the batteries. I was able to use rewards to pay for them and still get my rewards.

      • Roberta Grissett

You are welonlinee. Glad it helped.
