Sorry, can someone plz explain what this will contain? Is it lego pieces for making a calender? Or lego mini models inside each calendae day with instructions.

    • Lesa

W, each day contains a mini lego, no instructions, but easy to put together. My, then 4 year old, grandson easily put them together last year. He enjoyed it so much, I made sure he has one for this year. HTH

      • Jennifer

On the back of each day’s flap, there is a picture showing the onlinepleted Lego build for that day too. So even though there aren’t step by step instructions, it is easy to figure out how to put the mini figure or little model together.

    • Rebecca

They have a few mini figures included for certain days. We have purchased the star wars ones before and the inside of the day has a diagram of a ship, robot, xmas tree, etc. and the pieces to make the item.

      • w

Thanks a lot all! I understand now…my 4 yr would love it as he is into legos this year….thanks collin for this post!

  2. Marcy

Does anyone know if they will go down in price?

    • Kim

NO! They will sell out quickly! Then go up in price by 2-3x through scalpers. Star Wars will sell out first and be sold for the most in the after market. It usually is hard to onlinee by after October in store and online.

  3. terrin

Does anybody know if these onlinee down in price at all?

    • Pamela

I got one at Walmart for a few dollars cheaper recently, but if you wait they just sell out and the only place you can get one is on Amazon for about $60.

      • Heidi N

Along with that, the Star Wars usually sell out quicker than the classic versions. You won’t see the price drop considerably, if your kiddo wants one I reonlinemend buying it now.

  4. Kalynn

Are these similar every year? I feel like they have to have a lot of the same pieces each year right – trees, Santa, sled etc?

    • Kim

It’s never the same and santa in the City is on a snowmobile. Even the santas are different. Same ideas and holiday theme but never the same sets or pieces. The StarWars special people are always different as well so are highly “collectible” since you can’t just buy them.

You could always buy one and reuse it. The box is very sturdy a simple piece of tape on the door will work well.

  5. Meerasmom

Does anyone know if they do a Ninjago version? My boys are obsessed.

    • Jen

I was just wondering the same thing!

    • Yess

I was just about to ask! A ninjago version would be amazing!

  6. Sasha

I saw that a Lego advent calendar (probably from last year)at Barnes and Noble 75% off clearance yesterday!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet find Sasha! Thanks for the heads up!

  7. Lindsey

Can you use these every year or do you have to buy a new one each year?

    • J L

They do not have dates/years on them. We buy a new Star Wars calendar each year. My youngest is 14 and we still get one…

  8. Dani Duarte

Walmart had the Star Wars one for cheaper.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing! I am not finding it cheaper from Walmart now as I search through.

  9. Cassandane

Thanks! I think we will get the Star Wars or Friends The City looks nearly the same as last year’s.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welonlinee!

  10. Mandy

Not Lego, but there are several other advent calendars that are pretty reasonable right now. Probably last years versions but they don’t have dated years so they would work any time. Ninja Turtles, Barbie, Play-Doh are all under $20. We got the Thomas minis calendar last year and my boys are still playing with the trains from it. Right this minute, in fact! Just throwing it out there for anyone who might be interested in other themes 🙂

  11. Cori

Cute idea but too pricey for me.

  12. Angie

I saw the Star Wars Lego advent calendars at Walmart for $34.97.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Cool! Thanks for sharing your find Angie!

  13. Amy

Little people has an advent calendar, so does go go smart wheels and animals. Something for toddlers.

  14. dbl-d amber

I, waited too long last year and missed out and no way I was paying $60 at Xmas time for this. Though it might go cheaper, I jumped on this deal so I would ensure the kiddos have it this year.

  15. Vickie

I just bought this at Lego Store when we were there for the free mini build. I picked up both the Star Wars ($39.99) and the City ($29.99) sets. Since I spent over $35 I received a free Green Dragon set (I think it is Lloyds from Ninjago) but the manager was so awesome because he gave me 2 free sets so my boys wouldn’t fight over it! Plus, I’m a VIP member so I got an additional 10% off, 70 points AND since the new limited Edition Millennium Falcon just came out he gave us the collector posters for it and stickers.

I have to admit, the Stormtrooper with the snow blower made me laugh and the angel in the City set is beautiful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience Vickie!
