Money should be number one on your list!

    • Jenn

Ditto! I live in Texas and there are numerous reports from nonprofits here that they are overwhelmed with donated items. Of course it is VERY appreciated but they simply don’t have the warehouse space to store it all. I know money seems impersonal but it is absolutely the most helpful.

  2. Kristyn

    Baby wipes!

  3. Janna

Some people can’t afford to send money!! So for those who don’t please dig into your stockpile to donate. I’m from Texas and have friends and family in Houston and money doesn’t get to them as quickly as the items listed above. Thank you Colin.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Prayers for them, I wish I could do more. I’m in Florida…we are praying down here also, it’s scary seeing every store wiped out of water and food!

    • VickiB

Depending on where you are in Florida (I’m in Broward) Super Targets aren’t getting that much traffic, try one early tomorrow morning. My husband was able to get canned foods and snacks for us because we had already gotten water on Saturday just not food. He said the store was onlinepletely stocked. Stay safe!

      • VickiB

Fellow Floridians still preparing a lot of stores are out of batteries and aren’t restocking those, check toys r us and babies r us where others aren’t thinking to go, they will be open today.

        • Erica

Check office supply stores too! They have batteries and water! People don’t ever think to go there.

      • Tricka

Don’t live near a Target but finally got water at publix and found batteries today at Ace. Freaking out because now the eye is going right over me! Stay safe as well you guys!

    • Melanie

Agreed! We are in Jacksonville, FL and everywhere is wiped clean. Luckily there is still gas at some places. But yes check stores first thing in the AM. They tend to have a fresh stock in the morning. Stay safe Florida!

  9. Margaret

Speaking as a flood survivor (hate the word victim) in Houston right now, we use a lot of contractor bags! And most people will also need boxes and packing tape– even if just some stuff goes into temporary storage.

  10. Magda

Anyone know if there is organization where I can donate baby items…bottles, breast pump, etc?

  11. My

    Thank you for posting this.

  12. UGR

Tarps, contractor trash bags, rubber gloves, dust masks, and they really need stuff for the demo clean up to get the houses ready for FEMA and insurance inspections.

  13. Sha

Hate to mention this but do women & young girls do for their time of the month of it’s during this time???? Wish it could go away but a bad time to have but that’s an important and very personal need.

  14. Erin

I would think backpacks, duffle bags or luggage with wheels would also onlinee in handy, as it gives then a place to keep what little they have & transport it a little easier if needed.

  15. Derrick Dash

I’m having the students donate items (new) for the relief efforts behave now been told that the items are no longer being accepted because they cannot and do not have the storage facilities. My students will be so disappointed if they cannot send the items. We’re located in SC and all they want to do is help. Any suggestions from anyone?
