Are binders on your back-to-school shopping list?

Office Depot/OfficeMax is currently offering up $2 off any binder purchase when you bring in any brand of your old binder.

Here’s what you need to do:
  • Bring in any brand of old and empty binders to any Office Depot/OfficeMax store. You can bring in as many as you would like to recycle, but only 6 per day will count towards the promotion.
  • After you finish shopping, simply take your old binders to the register along with the new binders you pick out to receive a $2 credit for each binder recycled.
  • Note that the recycling and binder purchase must be made in the same day and in one transaction and multipacks of binders count as one. The discount is applied only to purchased binders, and there is no cash back.
  • Recycled binders must be empty upon turning in and the discount does not include tax.

Is it one old binder per one new binder..? Or can I bring in 6 old ones and use $12 towards one new binder..?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bring in up to 6 old binders and use the $2 earned from each towards your new binders. Hope this helps!

If the binders are on sale for $1 each, and you buy two, could you use the credit to purchase them? So $2-$2?

    • I

No. If it’s a $1 binder you only get a dollar. It doesn’t carry over onto the price of another binder.

I took in 5 binders and purchased 6 binders my twins need for school. I was able to stack the 30% off when you purchase $30 coupon on top of the $2 binder savings. The 30% also worked with the $1 sharpie and zebra pens deal, paid .70 cents each.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your score!

My local store didn’t even know this program was in effect this year, said it was last year. Clearly not, and I confirmed this with their customer support. How does it work? Manager was looking for some kind of coupon or discount code to key in??
