   hopefully they did more thorough quality control on the refurbished ones cuz the remote that came with our roku stick stopped working after a week or so…we went through all the possible ways to fix it by researching on our own, then had to do those steps AGAIN with customer service in order to get them to replace it. Then I was shocked when I realize they only replace the remote and not the USB stick also. Needless to say, that did not solve the issue either. We still don’t have a remote that works and so the USB stick is basically useless because you have to have a working remote in order to set everything up to where you can use your phone as a Roku remote. I’m sure Roku would send another replacement if we wanted to contact them AGAIN and let them know the replacement remote didn’t work, etc, but instead we decided to just get a regular Roku and it has worked perfectly.

  I was thinking about purchasing of refurbished but wasn’t sure about the quality. I think I will stick with a new one. Thanks for posting.
