Do you have to cancel the music after the 4 months are up if you don’t want it?

    • Bryn (Sister Sidekick)

Yes, you will need to cancel after the 4 months end at this special rate.

  2. Raea

Do they offer a deal on buying prime membership on amazonnprime day?

    • Kat

They have before but didn’t last year, so I wouldn’t count on it. I know a lot of people were expecting it and got burned.

      • Raea

Thank you so much for replying 🙂

      • ricks48038

how exactly did they “got burned”? So they had the option to pay the normal price, or not to. It’s not like they missed out and ended up having to pay more than anyone else afterwards.

        • ssf

          Why even reply?

          • ssf

That is directed to ricks48038. Raea asked a question, and got a nice reply. Why did you even have to reply if it was going to add nothing but snarkiness?

            • ricks48038

I’m entitled to ask a question, just like anyone else. Kat made a statement, and I wanted to know what she meant by that. If you think that’s snarkiness, you’ve got some thin skin.

            • janetlou

I’m with SSF on this one…ricks48038, your reply sounded snarky to me as well. Can’t we all just keep our mouths shut unless we have something nice, or useful, to say?

            • ricks48038

Janetlou, I don’t know, can you keep shut? I asked a question to Raea, and I’m still curious what the answer is. If this doesn’t interest you, move on.

        • Helen

At the risk of regretting a reply in this thread, I just read/ made the assumption that by “burned” the original post author here means that her friends who waited, under the assumption of a membership deal on Prime Day itself, missed out or paid more etc somehow. They probably didn’t sign up for a 30 day trial membership AHEAD OF TIME (or otherwise get a Prime membership ahead of time), THEN they couldn’t fully take advantage of Prime Member only deals the day of? Or perhaps Amazon prevented sign up for the 30 day free the day of, and only a full price new membership in order to get Prime Member only deals? Just guessing since it doesn’t look like anyone responded in a substantive way. Hope that is helpful. If not, just ignore the post.

  3. couponer

Prime Day is a joke. Limited availability and hard to actually get anything.

    • M

      I loved it last year!

    • ricks48038

couponer, that might have been your luck, but I had found a few deals that I purchased. Also, I work at UPS, and our system onlinepany-wide was overwhelmed from Prime Day just like the year before, so people across the country are finding something they want on Prime Day.

    • SSmith1789

I’m in a Facebook Group called Kidz Steals and Deals and they posted awesome deals last year! Made it so much easier to find things I needed!

  4. MamaDill

The first year I was highly disappointed on prime day but last year I scored tons of awesome deals!!! Can’t wait to see what will be available this year 🙂

    • Lk

What kind of stuff did you get?

      • Anna

I ended up with a decent amount of household supplies. I got cleaners, baby wipes, toilet paper, etc. all for amazing deals. You just have to be watching and snag them as soon as you see them.

        • Tabitha

I agree got lots of household products at great deals!

      • PDX To OGG Mama

Last year on Prime Day I purchased: 3 x boxes of pampers, crib sheet, couple food items, baby hearing protection, DVD and instant pot. I think the diapers were 55% off. I’d say it was half lightening deals and half Prime Day deals. Also a good day to score amazon gift cards…but you have to be quick for those deals.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear you were able to snag so many awesome deals last year!

    • MamaDill

Yes tons of diapers and wipes, a baby monitor, lots of coffee and noodles, babyganic items, some toys, a Garmin camera, an xl sportbrella, some shirts for my hubby. Quite a bit of stuff!

  5. Christy

Does the music stay on your device after you cancel after the 4 months?

    • Jennifer W

      No, it doesn’t.

      • Christy

        thank you!

  6. Amy

I understand that they are trying to attract new membership – but would love for them to offer some deals on Audible for some loyal long time customers!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Rebecca

That’s always an annoyance with Amazon. I’m paying $32 for 4 months of Music Unlimited, and newbies get it for 99¢.

      • PJC

contact them maybe they will extend you or give you credit at that price…amazon is often good like that

      • Angie

I’m with you Amy! It would be really nice to reward the already loyal customers. I understand the need to entice new customers, but it’s the loyal customers spending their money that currently keeps Amazon/Audible going. I know I personally spend a lot of money on both, as I do a lot of my everyday shopping on Amazon, do not watch television and am a homeschool mom. Where are the discounts/loyalty rewards for all of us current customers??

    • Kristen

same- it irks me, too. Like — c’mon!! We’re loyal and watch on Prime, but we can’t get the $10 credit.

    • jen

They sent me an advertisement for the new subscription one year rate. I had canceled my audible a few months ago. I tried to use it and it said I was ineligible bc I was not new. I wrote them am email staying it was not right to advertise a deal to me that I could not get. They gave me the deal with no trouble. I realize I wasn’t an active subscriber at the time but might be worth trying…

    • VERONICA

Go through the process of canceling. It’ll ask you why your canceling and press the financial reason option. Usually the next page will ask you if you would stay if they offer a discounted rate for 6 months to a year, it changes sometimes. I’ve done this twice and it’s worked for me.

  7. Austin

The only thing Prime day is good for is cheap baby wipes. Hopefully they’ll have those again this year. Or am I getting it confused with Cyber Monday?

  8. Rebecca

So I’ll ask again here: are the Amazon daily round-ups no longer a thing??

    • Shannon

I was wondering the same thing! I love those daily Amazon round up posts!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Correct. We are no longer posting that round up.

  9. Shirley

I am saving a ton of money by NOT having Amazon Prime.

    • Jeanie !Markusson

Good for you. I save a ton by having it!

  10. Riddick Family

Random: Isn’t that also Cow Appreciation Day? #Squirrel

  11. LIsa

I can’t remember what I bought on prime day last year, but there were some good odds and ends. Children’s socks stand out in my mind.

  12. Lila

Aw, boo. If I understand the fine print, since I’ve used the Amazon Video app in my Playstation before, I don’t qualify for the $10 credit.

  13. Jessi

Where’s the best place to find Prime deals on Prime Day? Here on Hip2Save or is there a place on the Amazon site?

  14. Tracie

I am not seeing a way to get the Amazon Music Unlimited for $.99 when clicking the links above…is there a promo code you have to enter?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd, Are you a Prime member that has not yet tried Amazon Music Unlimited? I still find the offer listed for me when clicking through the links for that promotion. Are you by chance on a mobile device? Sometimes that can create issues. If not, maybe check again in a different browser. Hoping this helps!

      • LBB

I’m not seeing it either, but I have a $20 Amazon Music Unlimited credit from T-mobile Tuesday. That might be the problem.

  15. Carol

I am considering the Kindle Unlimited offer. Wondering if this is a good deal?

    • Hannah

I had it for a month and was very unimpressed with the selection of books. They didn’t have a lot of newer books that I was looking forward. I’d suggest saving your money and use the Overdrive app to borrow free Kindle books from your local library.

    • Diane

I think this is s good deal. Did the 6 months last year. Just ordered the 12 month subscription. Don’t think I would have ordered without this deal.

    • Susan

I have definitely gotten my money’s worth from the kindle unlimited. I’m not overly picky when it onlinees to what I read, so I haven’t had an issue finding something. I’ve discovered some new authors I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. I also use Overdrive for e-lending from the library, but the waiting list for new releases can be really long, so it works out well for me. I went all in with the two year subscription last year, but wouldn’t have paid full price for it. I actually bought it because of the hold times on library e-books. You can check out up to ten books at a time, so my 12 year old uses it, too.

  16. Melinda orsborn

Are they going to have the echo or the dot on special? What about the Google home or firestick?

  17. Ewebdell

I don’t see anywhere to get music unlimited for that price. I’m a prime member and I only see the $7.99 or yearly option.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, have you already tried Music Unlimited?

  18. Heather

We got a flat screen TV with a free amazon fire stick and a lot of food deals as well!!!

  19. Artlover

Do you know if there will be deals on art supplies?

  20. Jess

Are there deals on books other than unlimited and audible?

  21. Erin Krut

The link for the Kindle unlimited deals doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve looked on the Amazon site for the deals but can’t find them. I know they were working a few days ago as I checked them for the actual prices. Any advice anyone?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up! Just updated!

  22. Melinda Orsborn

I tried signing up for the prime unlimited for.99 but it says 7.99 a month??? Any one know how to get the deal?

    • Rick

umm, try again next year, if they run the promotion again?
