Love Energy Bites?

You’ve got to try these yummy Monster Energy Bites that taste similar to Monster Oatmeal Cookies! Energy bites are like a delicious no-bake cookie made with oatmeal, nut butter, and honey that my kids love making and eating as a fun treat or snack. You can add ground flaxseed for more fiber and protein and customize them with many different add-ins.

  2. Jennifer

I made these today before I read this post. Wish I would have thought about M&m’s because I actually have some on hand. I will put them in my next batch. My kids will love it, thanks!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Sure! Enjoy Jennifer 😀

Ground flax seed do kids even realize it’s in there if I put it in?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Nope they don’t. 😀

  4. Amanda

These are delicious! I add brewer’s yeast and give it to new mom friends for lactation support 🙂

  5. Karen

I add sunflower kernels & 1/4 c. Cocoa to mine. I have some in the fridge now. So yummy!

You don’t need to toast the oats before making these?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      No.

I went to the Lavender Festival a couple of weeks ago and got some Lavender Honey and Rose Honey. I think I will use these and skip the chocolate for a more healthy bit flavorful version.

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Very nice idea!

As a Registered Dietitian, I think you guys should know that “energy” is code for “high calorie” in food.

    • C.D.

I agree….these some like uncooked cookies! I would NEVER think they were healthy but would make them if I wanted a cookie and not have to cook something!

      • C.D.

        *sound not some………..

    • Robyn

True but perfect for my high schooler who eats like a bird and has to go right to soccer practice after school. I need things like this to get a lot of calories in only a few bites. I’ll chop up some almonds to add as well.

  9. Lori Connors

I add protein powder to mine!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Great idea!

  10. Simone

Where can I find the nutritional value for these?

  11. AnnieL.

Never heard of them….are they like cereal bar texture? or crunch? And anyone know how many calories they would have?

  12. Coryelle

How would minute oats work in this recipe?

  13. Daisy

hey guys can i take these on a backpacking trip with no cooler or is that a bad idea

  14. Jolaine

Could you make this with gluten free oats as well?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes I’m sure that’d be great too!
