Check out what my sidekick, Michelle, has to say about Gobble…

I tried Gobble the last time this deal was available. This was my first experience with any meal delivery service so I was a bit skeptical that it was worth it, but now I am totally convinced! It’s so awesome to pull the meal kit out of the fridge at 5:30PM, follow the easy steps and have an amazing dinner on the table in about 20 minutes without having to do ANY pre-planning. I’m hooked and will be continuing this delivery service!

To stretch these 2-person meals for my family of 4, I ordered the vegetarian options for 2 people and then added grilled meat – the meals were all delicious and unique!

We did this deal a few weeks ago and the food is really good and super simple to prepare. Unfortunately the price does not fit in my budget to continue ordering but I would highly reonlinemend the food.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear how yummy the food is! Thanks so much for your feedback!

  2. I

Got in when it was free and was disappointed. Not worth the prices they charge normally.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear you did not care for it 🙁 Thanks for the honest review!

  3. Cappie

Anyone know where I can find nutrition info. I’m concerned about sodium content

We also did this a few weeks ago and the quality of food is great. Instruction cards are simple to understand. We just felt that the portions for some of the meals were a little skimpy. I wouldnt say we over eat at dinner. But we tend to have our biggest meal of the day during dinner. And we were left wanting more on 2 out of the 3 meals we got that week.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know about the portion size.

We got this 2 weeks ago and after trying many onlinepanies like this, this was my least favorite. I feel like the portions were smaller than the other onlinepanies and I was not a fan of the “baggie” packaging. Most of my items were wet and hamburger buns were smooshed. I also had a few spoiled items which I am wondering if they might have not been that way if they were not packed so “wetly”. The recipes themselves though were good, but no where near the worth/value they are charging full price. One thing I also didn’t like is that not everything was able to replicate. We liked some of the seasonings but have no way to buy or make them ourselves, whereas other services tell you exactly (for the most part) what to include. Also things like the curry and beans were in pouches. As a personal preference, that just equates to poor quality/highly processed to me- even though they did taste good. This would be good for someone who doesn’t mind paying and wants a service like this with even less cooking involved than other services since some things onlinee pre-made.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the honest review Jennifer! Such a bummer that some of your items came squished or spoiled. 🙁 Were you able to contact customer service?

did this deal also a few weeks ago. rec’d 3 easy meals and one of them my daughter was able to eat being a vegan. she just left out the dairy portion. I liked 2 of the meals, but if it wasn’t free I wouldn’t be able to keep the subscription going. pretty pricey for our budget.

  7. tina

Does anyone know how these onlinepanies are regulated to ensure the food is prepared in a clean kitchen, ect?

  8. Emy

I did this a couple weeks ago as well when it was free. It was just OK . The packaging of some of the food was very wet and squishy. I had meat juices that were leaking all over inside the box & soggy hamburger buns.
I actually had most of my fresh veggies that were supposed to be sides, end up spoiled and over ripe. I had corn on the cob that was dry and horrible once I took the husk off.
I did contact cust service, And they were very apologetic. They did offer me another credit for three more meals, which was nice. But, Had it not been free, I would not pay for their service. The portions are smaller than I have experienced with other onlinepanies, and their quality control needs a little work, in my opinion. Hopefully they can resolve some of these issues as they grow as a onlinepany.

I’m surprised to read these replies!! I also tried it for free on your last post and I absolutely LOVED 2/3 meals. The third was an Indian dish and I don’t like Indian food!! Anyway. It was the first time I’ve tried any service like that and it was the best thing ever to know all of my ingredients were pre measured and all I had to do was throw it together. I was also surprised people said they felt like the portions were small. I felt the exact opposite! I felt like there was enough for my husband and I and my three boys (2,4,6) to eat. Amazing food. Easy instructions. Highly reonlinemend if you can afford it. Definitely worth it!! Especially if you think about all the times you just end up eating out because you don’t want to cook… I can’t be the only one! Ha ha

I also did the 6 free meals and really liked them, pan cooked chicken, steak, and tortellini. They were quick and easy and all tasted very good. I kept the instruction cards because I learned some new ways to cook my vegetables with my proteins. Too pricey to continue, but would be nice to do every once in a while. We also re-used the huge ice packets that came with it in our Memorial Day party cooler!

If you live in the Southwest where it is over 100 degrees on the regular, do not go for this. I’ve tried so many home delivery services and honestly, they just cant package it well/cold enough to survive the trip. I gave up after having to trash 2-3 different boxes that were leaking & warm on my front porch. This include both HelloFresh & Blue Apron.

  12. Rose

I got it last week for free and the food was jus awesome i will order this one one. Thanks Collin and team 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh awesome! You’re very welonlinee Rose!

  13. Allie

I also took advantage of the 6 free meals a couple weeks ago. Our box was delivered a day late and the items was not very cold when it arrived. I contacted customer service and they quickly offered to refund the credits so I can try a different week. I blame UPS for the delay, and am excited to try again. Can’t onlinement on the food itself yet, but customer service was great!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Super glad to hear how helpful customer service was for you Allie! Thanks for sharing your experience! Hoping you enjoy the food when you receive your next order!

  14. Mimi

I tried the free box a week ago as well and was pretty impressed! I’ve tried a couple of meal services and think this is a nice middle ground from Blue Apron (where you do all the washing/chopping/etc) and Freshly where you get a microwavable meal. These meals take only about 15 min to make and only one pan so there isn’t as much dish washing! And I thought the ones I tried were tasty.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Good to know how quick and easy the recipes are! Thanks for the feedback!

  15. brdavis55

I did this last time when they were free & I loved it. Everything was fresh and nothing smooshed, leaking or going bad. All my meals were very tasty and I thought portions were just right for myself & husband as we don’t like to eat a lot at dinner time. Thank you Collin for the post for me to try this. I wish I could do this one as well but I guess now I’m not a new customer, darn. 😉
