If you have a Meijer pharmacy nearby, they do free prenatal vitamins! You need a prescription from your doctor for a generic prenatal and then have it filled at their pharmacy. They have a variety of other free prescriptions as well like a generic antibiotic for children.

These are amazing prenatal vitamins! They aren’t full of synthetic vitamins like what most other brands have. The vitamins onlinee from whole, raw natural foods, and are much better for you and baby. They also contain folate, the bioavailable form vs. folic acid that is synthetic and not as easily absorbed. This is an amazing price! They are usually $42+ from Amazon.

Yup this is the brand I’ve been taking since my third baby. I switched from Rainbow Light because of the folate vs folic acid.
Just keep in mind that the Garden of life prenatals contain hardly any calcium and magnesium which is crucial so you have to supplement separately.

What is the difference between prenatal vitamins and regular multi-vitamins for women?

    • Deb

a couple of the differences are higher levels of folic acid and iron.
