  I looked it up before and the series 2 is waterproof for swimming and stuff and it has a gps.

  Sure Steph! Both models are basically the same, except the Series 2 has built in GPS and is waterproof. So what does that mean, you say? Well, Im happy to tell you. 🙂 If you like running, the GPS feature will help map your runs, that way you can have an idea how much ground you covered on that day. And the waterproof feature is for all this who who love to track their swimming activity, regarding how many laps. But if neither of those is a concern, the Series 1 will be the best option for you because you still get the same software updates and other functions as the Series 2. HTH 🙂

   I just switched from a series 1 to 2. The noticeable difference is the battery life and response time. I used it a lot more than I thought I would getting text messages and syncing it with google maps. By the end of the work day, I would get the power save mode notification. The series 2 was on sale at Best Buy for $299 when I went earlier this week. I was able to price match at target and use my target red card so I ended up paying $301 and change.

   They said the screen it’s 38 inch on series 1 and 42 inch in series’s 2 got it at Best Buy for my graduating college girl thank you

   Series 2 is $70 off at Best Buy currently… making the 38mm $299. Price match is at Target and use your RedCard. My total was $308 out the door. Happy Mother’s Day to me!!

   I just upgraded to a 2, but the 1 was still great. I’d still very much reonlinemend it to anyone considering one. The battery life is the only thing I’ve found significant on the 2. I probably won’t swim with the waterproof 2 and I almost always have my phone on me so the gps isn’t something I feel is necessary.
