  I’ve heard from a couple friends to NOT get the Restore deck paint (not stain, but a thick coat of protective something). It’s a product from Home Dept or Lowes, not SW. Love SW paint and at 40% off & coupon I’ll buy some cans without color!! (And go back to have them add the color later.)

   How long can you store paint? Does it matter if it’s open or unopened can? Does the quality change when you store it?

  Store it inside so it doesn’t get drastic temperature changes which can ruin the paint.

  Theres so many choices. We bought a few Emerald(green cans)& decided to mix a yr later. We chose the color & were ready to mix, SW said our choice of paint wasn’t the best for the color we chose(!). Also we had to factor how much sunlight the room gets(hardly any). We were stuck with paint cans we couldn’t really use (we still could use the paint but not get the results/outonlinee we wanted on our walls).

  It seems like SW has the 40% off sale at least a couple times a year and then they also alternate with 30% off too. They told me the paint would last unopened for years, but I bought 4 cans thinking we’d use it within the year and so far no problems.

  Let me tell you this. . . We have our leftover paint from painting the interior and exterior of our home using SW paint. 13 years later (like right now) I’m using the trim paint to touch up my house. It’s still perfect!

  At least 1x/yr when u get 40% & can use coupon. Otherwise it’s usually 30%.
