The bummer is that even if you do win you can’t keep it because the IRS will take half. Of course something is better than nothing.

One time I entered, and only a few times for their Rose Bowl/Rose Parade HGTV sweepstakes and I won. They came out to my home with roses and took pictures. When I got to Pasadena at the Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel, we saw Al Roker with his daughter waling in the hallway. Shirley Temple and Buzz Aldren were the Grand Marshalls and we got to meet them in real life. Quite an experience to see the floats and how they are made, the equestrian teams and bands along with football players and a pre tour of the stadium. I also got more roses in my hotel room. We had VIP seats for the parade. I keep trying to win a home/cabin and other prizes I’ve won a lot of trips in the past and other prizes. I usually enter the HGTV home contest. Although I’ve never won. This years house looks beautiful, but it is in an area that I would be very skeptical moving to. The southwestern part of Arizona and most of the southwest period, has a fungus living in the soil that can cause an illness called valley fever or coccidiodmycosis. Granted a lot of people don’t even get infected, but a many have. Do your research and see for yourself about this sneaky life altering illness. Anyone can get it. All you have to do is breathe.

Anyone know who won the home?! I’d definitely take the car and cash. Only a millionaire could afford the taxes on the home. Do your research peeps, you immediately owe the IRS like minimum $500Kin taxes on the grand prize package depending on which state you live in. It’s actually probably bigger than that. No one can afford to own the homes! There was an article done on the winners and where are they now: most of them are broke now.
