Check out this email I received from Hip2Save Reader, Sharon…

Hi Collin! I ran in and grabbed a few things from Dollar General today. I didn’t get a chance to scope out the whole store, but as you can see from the receipt, I scored a couple bargains ….

Also at the bottom of the receipt, it lists the sections that are 50% off. My best score were the big canisters of pretzels that were marked at $5 each, but rang up 50¢ each. AND the weekly planner was marked at $1, but rang up for 5¢! Happy shopping!

Let us know in the onlinements if you spot these same deals at your local store!

(Thanks, Sharon!)

I scored allValentines stuff and all Xmas gift sets at 90% off. Each gift set was $1 each and contained full size shampoo + conditioner, body wash, deodorant and body sprays. Dove Men+ Care, Axe, Caress, and Dial were the brands. There were also kids packs of Frozen and Trolls products for $1. The sale wasn’t marked at all but the clerk told me. Also, my Valentines clearance included the full size body pillows that had hearts on them, so my pre teen got one for only $1 instead of $10. Happy Shopping!

I ran in today to pick up plates for a party this weekend, and remembered the Valentines goodies were 90% off. All they had left were boxes of cards, but I often get the ones with candy in them to use for Easter – my grandkids don’t care, when they hunting for eggs, if the suckers are heart shaped! Grabbed a couple of boxes and a calendar with cute pictures, and when I checked out each rang up as a penny! May go back for more candy this evening.

    • Kay

Wow, a penny for a box of cards with lollipops? I paid $0.15 a box over the weekend when it was 50% off 90%. How did it get down to a penny? That’s a record. Where n when were u there?
