Calphalon Knives Recalled Due to Blades Breaking
Calling all Calphalon Knife owners!
If you purchased Calphalon Contemporary Cutlery knives between August 2008 and December 2016, please take note of this recall! The recalled knives were sold individually and in sets at Macy’s, J.C. Penney, Kohl’s, and other stores nationwide, including online at Amazon.
Why the recall?
Calphalon has issued a voluntary recall for the Contemporary Cutlery knives because of a potential safety concern identified with the blade breaking from the handle. About 2 million Calphalon knives are being recalled after 27 reports of finger or hand lacerations.
Which Knives are being recalled?
The Knives being recalled have one of the following model numbers embossed on the blade: 1808008, 1808009, 1821332, 1922890, 1922971, 1922976, 1932810, KNR0005C, KNR0007C, KNR10045C, KNR4008C, KNSR002C, and KNSR0102C.
What do I do if I own these Knives?
Order a return kit here. You should receive a return kit within 1-2 weeks allowing you to safely return your Knives to Calphalon. For more information, head here or contact Calphalon customer service at 1-800-809-7267 between 8am and 5pm ET Monday through Friday with any additional questions.
How do I receive replacement Knives?
After Calphalon receives and processes your returned knives, they will send you replacement knives. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing and mailing.
