Ugh, I just bought NatureMade prenatal vitamins from Amazon two days ago, I would’ve loved these!

  2. Laura

This brand of multivitamins where to most disgusting vitamins I’ve ever tasted. If rather eat a bean boozled jelly bean than these vitamins.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh no! Sorry to hear you did not care for them Laura! 🙁 Thanks so much for the honest feedback!

    • heather

      I think they’re delicious!

      • Tina

        I like them too!

  3. Holli

We love these. They use folate instead of synthetic folic acid which isn’t absorbed by a lot of people. If you have mthfr gene mutation which over 40 percent of people do, it’s better to take folate. They taste a little vitamin-y but I don’t mind if they have good absorbable vitamins 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Thanks for the helpful review Holli!

  4. rachel

I find these vitamins annoying in that you have to take so many to get one serving. Some kids vitamins are 1-2 gummies for a serving, these you have to take 4! I’ve never found these cost effective onlinepared to other vitamins when taking into account serving size. And I hate that the sample packs I received were 1/2 a serving. What do I do with 1/2 a serving of a prenatal?? If I’m taking prenatals, I want a whole pill. Sorry for the rant, I needed to get that off my chest!

    • ilovehip2save

You have to take 4 because they dont want them to taste fishy.

Like one of the posters above mentioned, these are one of the only vitamins that use methylfolate, the only kind of folate bioavailable to everyone. In addition to methylfolate, they have methylcobalmin instead of cyanocobalmin. The methylated forms are bioavailable to everyone. I have the MTHFR mutation as well. Folic acid and cyanocobalmin are cheap synthetic versions and it is estimated that 40-60% do not methylate either properly.
I’m not pregnant, not planning on it, neither is my husband. Because he has the mutation as well, he has the prenatals as well (from time to time) because it is a better supplement. I can teach birthing classes and am highly trained to work with fertility. I reonlinemend all clients take these vitamins, as they too may have the mutation. HTH.

I thought I had written a note, but it was on my phone and those aren’t always the best!
Like the poster above mentioned, these contain folate.
Most multivitamins contain folic acid and cyanocobalamin, both are difficult to break down for anyone with the mutation. Smartypants contain both methylfolate and methylcobalmin, the most bioavailable form – meaning that everyone will benefit. Everyone in my house has some form of the mutation or another. We keep a bottle of the prenatals here too. I’m not pregnant, my husband isn’t pregnant, my 13 year old isn’t either! We rotate it with our regular smarty pants because it has a higher level of methylfolate. I know you need more of these than others, they may not taste the best, but they’re definitely one of the best you can buy.
My professional job gives me the opportunity to help women conceive naturally and I reonlinemend this vitamin to them as the methylfolate is important.

A side note *They also have gummy probiotics. Because you take 6 of the vitamins, I assumed you take 6 of the probiotics. You only need 2. For more information on how that situation worked out, I reonlinemend reading the amazon reviews about sugar free gummy bears.

    Hope this helps!

  7. Oatbunch

We’ve used the kids, men’s AND prenatal vitamins in this brand and have been very happy. This is a great price for the prenatal.

    • Dana

😂 yeah we have seen the sugar free gummy bears reviews. Glad all is well now

  8. Bobbi

Pay attention to the serving size. I looked at the womens 120 ct in store and a serving size is 6 gummies?! So there’s less than a month’s supply. So not worth it.

  9. Kelly

I had heard such great things about these so I tried the gummy prenatal ones early on this pregnancy. They were WAY too sweet for me. I get queasy with strong tastes during pregnancy & I could barely chew these without gagging repeatedly. I’m not sure if they have a non-gummy version, but usually those have a strong fishy taste that also makes me sick.

  10. ilovehip2save

These are awesome especially when you have morning sickness!

  11. Sign2jill

I actually like the large servings. My son loves gummies so much that I enjoy telling him he can 4 of these gummies (which is the serving size for the kids). Other brands, he was only allowed one and would beg for more!

  12. Lexie

I found a $2 sticky coupon on some of the bottles too, so even more savings!

  13. Brittany

I love being able to eat 6 gummies (that are actually good for me) everyday!! I really like these prenatal vitamins!

  14. SUMMER

My kids all have autoimmune disease, and can’t break vitamin B on their own. Their Dr reonlinemended this brand as the best out there for them with the onlinebo of vitamin, and omegas. I’m glad there’s a brand where it’s broken down for them, and not wasted just getting flushed out. Worth a little bit extra to actually have something of quality.

  15. Megan Grandemange

I bought these with the Cartwheel offer today and turns out Ibotta has a $5 oscars rebate for redeeming 1 offer right now, so I actually got $8 back from Ibotta for these between the rebate and bonus!! They ended up being an awesome deal for great quality prenatals I’ve been needing to buy!

  16. RM

My family loves Smarty Pants! I wish the mens’ and kids were also on sale. I bought 2 Women’s, with $2 peelie coupons, cartwheel, and redcard discount they were $8.36 a bottle. My bottles also had 144 count instead of 120 count and were only $17.99 – not $22.95. I’ll submit to ibotta for even more savings, so worth it for these high quailty vitamins, and I love the taste. Thanks h2s for the heads up!
