  I bought mine just in case it doesn’t go lower or I miss the sale. If it does go lower, i plan on buying at the lower price and returning the one i bought to bbb. They have an awesome return policy.

  Echo Dot is an additional unit that let’s you use the Echo in multiple rooms. You have to have the Echo in order for the Dot to work 🙂

  You actually do not need the Echo to use the new Echo Dot, which is great! The only major difference IMO is that the echo dot doesn’t have that great of a speaker, but you can connect it to your current sound system with bluetooth. it’s a great option if you already have a speaker and do not need the one built in to the Echo.

   Just a reminder, many credit cards will refund the difference if you find a lower price within a specified time. My Discover card gives me 90 days and the process is fairly easy.
