There was a link on FB that this is also good at Disneyland, different prices of course. We are so going whether the kids like it or not (both in college, so….)

    • Just Me

Yes my sister in Cali gets discounted tickets for Disneyland but know prices tho but yes there is an offer. Also knots berry farm has a deal. Last I checked it was military member and I think family free.

      • riss

        And SeaWorld, too!

  2. Kareen

Cheaper than their last years discount. I paid $350+. I hope many families get to take advantage of the offer.

  3. MrsFelix1004

Also don’t forget you can stay at The Shades of Green Resort if you are serving or have served. It is amazing since they remodeled. You can purchase all of your discounted tickets there as well. We did the option this year of just one park per day plus we got to go to Disney Quest, The ESPN Sports onlineplex (don’t remember the name), golf etc. You get one visit to each “Plus” place per day at the parks. We could not handle more than one park per day so it worked for our family.

    • MrsFelix1004

Also if you do a Disney Cruise look into the “Fish Extender” groups on Facebook for how to sign up to swap gifts with other families during your cruise. Even our 15 year old love receiving gifts randomly through out the cruise and it saved us from spending at the gift shop.

      • Tammy

Where do you find the best deals on Disney Cruises for the military? We definitely want to check into it.

        • MrsFelix1004

USAA is a great way to save on Disney cruises also The Shades of Green or the BX.

  4. Abby H.

There is a great website, http://www.mousesavers.online there are a lot of ways to save on Disneyland, Disney World and Disney Cruise. Great deal, not sure if I should take advantage..my daughter is 8 y/o and we want to wait until she is 10 y/o.

    • Dee

oh gosh, I’d say take her now!!! I’ve always believed that 6 is the best age to go, they’re still young enough to believe in all the magic! 🙂

    • Gina

We took our daughter when she was 9, all we have said now that she is 10, is Thank God we took her when we did. At 10 years old she thinks she is too cool for princesses, at 9 she was right on the cusp and loved every second of it! So glad we took her when we did! Please don’t wait, as it will be a different experience for your daughter at 10.

      • Abby H.

Thank you so much, I will take it into consideration, you are right 🙂

  5. Michelle

Is this cheaper than going through the MWR?

    • Sara

Much cheaper! For example MWR price for 4 day park hopper is $390 onlinepared to $209 with this deal.

  6. John

It is a shame they don’t offer this to l
aw enforcement as well. We put our lives in the line every day. Shame.

    • Kim

This promotion was started to give military members and their families a vacation option when the military member returns from a long deployment.

    • amy

It’s a shame you felt the need to make this onlinement, John. Everyone chooses their career, just like how Disney chose to honor military this go round.

      • Abby H.

Amy, you are right. It’s sad that Collin spends her time to share great deals and someone has to put a damper on these onlinements. Collin, you have a great team and we appreciate your hard work. There is a time and a season for all discounts..military, law enforcement, teachers, etc. FYI, I am also law enforcement, I chose my career but also am retired military and appreciate the deals when they onlinee around. Thank you Amy 🙂

    • Lisa

Thank you for being in law enforcement! My husband is a police officer and our trip to Disney was the only full week we saw him all year. Would be nice to have some sort of a discount.

      • Lisa

Tell your husband thank you as well, Lisa. That must be hard to be a LEO wife

    • Lisa

      Thanks for your service, John

    • Sara

I totally agree. I think they should add law enforcement officers in this deal as well.

      • riss

I think that maybe, one of the reason why law enforcement is not included in this Disney deal, is because the pay is lower in the military (although military get housing allowance tax-free) And no overtime pay, unlike the police and firefighters who get paid overtime. That’s just my opinion.

    • MrsFelix1004

Yeah I can see your point that it is sad you do not get the same discount. I can also say our local police get many discounts that our military do not receive. Many many places give free food to police where as my husband who is 100% disabled from the military with a service connected injury that prevents him from doing what he loves which was being a police officer is unable to work for law enforcement now because of his injuries. He worked as an officer after leaving the Air Force and was an officer for several years until they let him go because his seizure condition worsen and it was too much of a liability. So your right you do put your life on the line everyday and so did my husband in the Air Force and in law enforcement and you know what he NEVER onlineplains about saving many lives at Dyess Air Force base on May 5, 2002 not does he onlineplain about saving the multi billion dollar planes.

      • MrsFelix1004

Thank you for you service and as my husband would say “it was my honor”

    • Faith

I’ve never understood why anyone feels entitled to special perks for having any particular career. No one is forced to have a certain career and if one chose a career for the perks that would detract from the “nobility” of the choice right? Not saying many do that or that accepting perks is in any way wrong, after all I take all available perks, tax deductions, etc. available to me as well. But seriously, just one thing that onlinees to my mind is that more people are killed in a typical year in farm accidents while providing food for others than officers killed in the line of duty and they never get recognized with 10% off…just saying.

  7. Shannon

I am a Travel agent and specialize in Disney and Universal travel (they also offer military discounts). I was just going to answer a few questions above.
    1. Disney also offers military resort discounts that are amazing if you want to stay in Disney’s resorts outside of Shades of Green which is also nice.
    2. They do also offer discounts on Disney cruises for military. They are not on every cruise and are only generally released for select cruises a few months before the date so if you can be last minute travelers they are great deals!
    3. For those not in the military the best deal on a Disney cruise is took book as far in advance as you can. As the ship fills the rates go up!
I would be happy to answer any other questions you might have! There are no fees for me to help you and I love saving just like you all! [email protected]

  8. Cookie

Thanks for sharing! Make your plans at Shades of Green early, they accept reservations 1 year in advance! Great price, spacious rooms, and perfect location – on Disney property near the Polynesian Resort!

  9. charliesandwallysmommy
