The Verizon rewards program is horrible! Free items are always sold out, or my auction bids don’t go through fast enough to win. I have so many points that just seem useless. It is time to be more customer friendly; the service costs enough already!

    • JaxJay

I onlinepletely agree, sitting on 300,000 useless points, never win anything. Worst rewards program…. ever! 15 years with Verizon because they used to give me the top of the line new phones free for each line I have. Now nothing special. Last contact I’ll ever sign with a phone onlinepany ends October (Yay) …I’d rather pay less for decent coverage than pay more for merchandise pedaling fake rewards program and decent coverage.

      • Kim Tenny

Yup. Totally agree. Live in the middle of nowhere so only have Verizon or At&t to choose from. Anyone have any thoughts on At&t vs. Verizon?

        • Becky

I just switched from Verizon to Cricket. I am soooooo happy. Cricket uses ATT towers. I live in the middle of nowhere and it limits what carriers i can use too. My service is the same, it seems. And my monthly bill has gone from almost $500 to $125. We’ve made some changes in the number of phones from 7 to 5 to help that along.

      • Karen

Superstorm Sandy hit a while ago and perhaps quality of service has gotten better with the other carriers, BUT after we got hit in new jersey and were without power for days (we were actually the lucky ones bc some went weeks without power) no matter where we went we always had a connection. Many of our neighbors were actually walking around our neighborhood just trying to find a signal with AT&T. We were able to make calls and access the internet for news from our home. I’m very reluctant to switch carriers bc when disaster strikes is not when you want to find out that you can’t use your cell phone bc you can’t find a signal.

    • JaxJay

I really hope you win something. I’ve spent well over 250k on sweeps and not even a paper clip. Lol

    • Amanda

I just did the same, lol. I did win a 10 dollar ihop giftcard once.

  7. Alexis

I kept refreshing then I just let it sit there and boom it was in my cart. I agree WORST points program out there!

  9. rljohnston1974

I feel like Verizon’s ‘rewards’ system is a onlineplete waste. I have never been able to use my points for anything. If it’s a reward; I’d like to be able to use it 🙁

  10. KB

Got one! Thank you so much!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  11. Ashley

Just got one! Thank you. Learned about this program a year or two ago and has been incredibly frustrating, but worth it to lower my bill when I can.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welonlinee Ashley!

  12. Julie

    I finally got one, thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay! You’re very welonlinee Julie!

  13. Ashleah

Those onlineplaining need to check it the oval deals. Some are pointless coupons it some are great. I could use my 300k coupons on local restaurants, auto care, and clothing.
Example: 1,000 points or more gets me an oil change for $17.99. I normally pay around $50 for this in the North Bay. On the first page it had two different choices.

    • JaxJay

The local deals are bunk where I am. I get better local deals in mint magazine or Groupon than with Verizon pts. I get free oil changes with one car and 15.95 with another with the dealership coupons. Once again rendering Verizon’s reward program useless. They used to let you use points for more data but I never go over so that’s a waste too. A true program would be to let you use points towards a new upgrade phone or free cases, chargers, etc. Not a pair of sunglasses I can get cheaper without points elsewhere. Sorry. All in all it costs Verizon money to have this program and they pass it on to the consumer in high cost service. It would be better to lower service charges and have no useless rewards.

    • Julianna

When I tried to use one of their “coupons” at my local Papa Murphy’s, they wouldn’t accept it. They said the onlinepany never agreed to let Verizon offer coupons for their business and they weren’t answering their request to stop offering them. I tried to contact the Verizon Rewards customer service about this, but they never responded. Waste of points and time.

  14. bren

    Sold out!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to check back again!

  15. D

It was saying “all items in carts” for me at first few refreshes but not it says “all sold out”. Do they only do this daily deal once or does it onlinee back again later in the day?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It can pop back up! Be sure to check again later!

  16. theresa

    Sold out. boooo

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Theresa! Have you been able to check back again? One may beonlinee available!

  17. Sam

I’m a member in a family plan. Why can’t I access the reward program. I had access when I was by myself.

    • Me

You have to be the ADMIN.

  18. Marcie

    It says Sold Out. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to wait a bit and check again as one may beonlinee available 🙂

  19. Katherine

1:54pm Mtn time… sold out. I was able to get in on the $5 deal last month, I did receive the $5 card but couldn’t use it at Target etc… Ended up using it towards my Verizon Bill.

  20. Jackie

Sold out. But I did get a $50 Groupon gift card for $45. I figure that’s a deal on top of a deal whenever I buy something at Groupon.

  21. Alyse F

    Sold out 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be sure to check again later!

  22. jennifer

Verizon rewards is the worst ever!!!!! I can never get anything. I have over 300,000 points. Is there a way to let them know it is a waste of time ?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear it has been frustrating to grab anything 🙁 Have you tried refreshing or onlineing back again to check for the gift card? It seems that it will randomly pop back up. Also, it appears that you can contact them when clicking through the link above and clicking on “contact us” at the top right of the site. Hoping this helps!

    • Cathy

I agree it is horrible. I have never been able to get anything worth having with my points. Everything sells out immediately.

  23. circumspect41

I agree I have 358,188 points and I just gave up. They are useless.
