Last year my middle schooler was preparing to enter 6th Grade. For him that meant no more school uniforms. For me it meant jean shopping. My worst nightmare. He’s really thin. We shopped high and low. Every skinny jean he tried (at from multiple stores) hung on him as though they were loose fit and adjusting the waist bunched so much fabric that he looked like he was wearing a utility belt under his shirt. The Children’s Place skinny jeans was a much better fit (not as much gather in the waist and more of a relaxed fit). Desperate (more than a bit curious) I grabbed a girl’s pair of jeans and prayed he wouldn’t notice the butterfly detail on the button. They fit perfectly. As we were about to check out (with girly jeans) a lovely salesperson quietly mentioned that the CP website has super skinny jeans that would be perfect for him. I thanked her. I ordered them. They came. We experienced jean nirvana and lived happily every after. The end. True story.
