Ok..so I have been debating this purchase every time I see one. Which is better, cricuit or silhouette??

    • Kmc1021

I have both and I like the silhouette program better. I still use both though because I have almost 200 cricut cartridges. I would download both programs and play with them and see what you like best. If you decide to go with silhouette, I’d wait until the new one is out

There are YouTube videos that I watched to onlinepare the two. I don’t remember which one but if I were you I would watch them to decide what works best for you.

What’s nice about the Silhouette is you don’t need Internet access to use the program. And the program has a tracing feature you can trace an image from Google to make it into a cut file. I don’t think you can do that with Cricut. When I was doing my research online the Silhouette seemed to be the clear winner and I love mine!

I read the reviews and question answers on amazon for this item and decided to purchase! I have a first generation cricut that I never really liked due to the bulkiness and difficulty level. It seems like this one is MUCH more user friendly for the craft impaired (me). Thanks so much, Collin! I can’t wait to try it out! My neighbor (teacher) has this and a cameo and she said she prefers this for most of her projects.

Just an FYI…they sell this machine at Kohls too. I recently got it for $180 with a 40% off code plus I got $30 Kohls cash. (And about $13 back from ebates)! I was so excited for such a good deal as I had been wanting one of these for awhile! The 40% off isn’t available right now, but they offer 30% off often. Just something to keep in mind 🙂

Great score Suzy! Thanks for sharing!
