Whenever my boys used to say “I’m bored”, I always give them some for of chore to do. They learned very quickly, I have not heard it in quite some time

Thank you for this post. My 5 year old just got off from school yesterday, and I can’t count how many times she has said she was bored today, and if she is starting 1st grade tomorrow. I will have to try these to keep her busy and mommy from losing her mind 🙂

We’ve been out since May 18th. I needed some fresh ideas!

We’ve been doing water gun painting (but works better for smaller kids with a spray bottle). Mix a little water and some tempera paint, hang up a piece of thick paper (I like using watercolor paper), and let them go to town. To add more fun, design different shapes out of tape on the paper first, then paint and remove tape when dry. Looks neat 🙂
