   Quick question for all you hip2savers, has anyone seen a screaming deal on 13 gallon trash bags? I prefer glad or hefty….I’m thinking of doing the cvs deal, but it’s not in red so maybe something better is out there….

  My husband only likes glad forceflex. This week they were on sale for $13.99 at staples (100 ct, 13 gal bags.). I used code 76041 to get 25% off breakroom cleaning purchase over $40. If they have enough in stock in your store you can onlinebine it with the extra 5% off when you choose instore pickup. My store only had 2, so I wound up buying 5 so I could get free shipping. It came out to $10.49 per case, or just about 10.5 cents a bag, which is the lowest I have ever been able to get forceflex down too. I haven’t checked, but there may be other types of bags on sale if you don’t want the forceflex.

  Hi, Mel! When I’m in need of trash bags, but there aren’t any good deals, I get Walmart’s Price First brand of kitchen trash bags with drawstrings. They don’t rip on us and I think they’re only like $1.88 for the 25 count. There is nothing special about them, but they get the job done while I’m waiting for a good deal.

  We get the hdx brand at Home Depot. There are 150 per box I don’t remember the exact price but it was a good deal. Also my husband will pick them up. Home Depot has a lot of cleaning items that are a good deal and they take coupons

   I have seen where soda varies from region to region, for example the coke in my area ( Upstate NY ) is 3/$11 not 3/$10. I understand and accept that but I am not seeing the $2 of 3 CVS saving for Coke on my Iphone APP. Is this regional as well?

   Question 2. This week I do not see the Suave $4 EB on 2 in the sneak peek preview. Are EB deals regional like prices are?

   Question 3. Does anyone know where the square credit card reader would be located in the store? I looked for it when I was in the store last night picking up some things but I could not find it.

  App coupons won’t appear until Sunday, tomorrow.

  Ads are regional, some areas are only getting a 8 page ad (test market), rather than the 12 page ad.

  The reader is with the electronics or cell phones, may be locked up.

  Hey John, I also live in Upstate NY and the Suave ad is on page 3 in the middle of the page sandwiched between a Clairol Nice ‘n Easy ad and a Nexus ad. It’s colored pink! I hope this helps you find it.

   In my small CVS, the Square readers are located in the aisle between the candy and the grocery aisle. This aisle contains household such as picture frames, light bulbs, As Seen on TV, etc. Good Luck!

    Does the hip list feature actually work? I’m as frustrated with it as I generally am with trying to print anything offered through Redplum. I do not want to print pages and pages of info I do not need from the CVS deals post for this week, but there are quite a few deals I want to go check out, like an hour ago when I started trying to print my list. By the time I manually transfer the info I need, it will be lunch time and I will have blown the whole morning over a hip list that isn’t hip at all. No matter what I do, it only wants to print the first page, directions and everything. If this isn’t a working feature to this site, or if it’s down at the moment, might want to note that, if it actually does work, might want to put better directions up for it. I’m going to go make another cup of coffee and sit here and manually moving the info I need to something portable to I can FINALLY go shop! Love you Colin, appreciate all you do, but your hip list feature…..not so much, time waster not a time saver.

  Nah, it was coffee I needed. Somehow, and maybe it’s onlineprehension in terms, I took the “print” button which says, “print this post” when you mouse over it, to mean it would print the whole post. I took the “hip list” button to mean the sections of the post that you wanted, and when following that link you get the first two pages of the whole post as a print option from the print button there. I had some coffee and figured out that “print this post” actually means print your hip list, not the entire post, and “hip list” is a list management tool. Good features, bad web design.

  If you’re going to “manually transfer info” from a H2S post to something “portable,” always remember you can get out a pad of paper and a pen. Skim down the H2S weekly deals post, and write down all the deals / items you might be interested in – when I have to do this, this usually takes me 5-10 minutes. Even just the product names (e.g. Suave conditioner) is enough, because the store itself has the ad. Gather necessary coupons, by printing from the H2S links to printable coupons, or get out your coupon inserts and cut the necessary coupons. (Use the coupon database to look up coupons.) Then when you go to the store, get the free weekly ad in the front of the store. It has all these deals printed, with ECB offers and limits. Simple and pretty fast. (This might sound facetious, but that is not my intention. I know that I can sometimes forget that it can be faster just to write something down and take a shopping list to the store. On paper. Sometimes using the technology takes longer. If it’s a weekly shopping list that I’ll toss out anyway, then I want to go the expedient route.)

    The Zantac rebate form states that it’s only for 50ct or 60ct. I couldn’t find any in CVS. Do you think it’s a typo? Does it worth to try to claim the rebate?

  I checked on their website. When I selected the 50 & 60ct it only showed retailer Amazon. I haven’t seen these counts in my rite aid nor cvs. 🙁

  You’re better off calling Zantac before buying, to make sure. The rebate could have changed terms, before CVS printed. The rebate does work with any store though 🙂

    Collin, it looks like the $2/1 sundown naturals printable has fine print that says limit one per purchase per CUSTOMER. So I don’t think you actually could use two if you do the B1G1 free scenario. Bummer 🙁 Still a nice price though.

  You should go by the wording on the coupon. Since it says Limit One Per Customer, that’s all you can use, no matter what the store policy allows.

    Uggg! So disappointed in my CVS’s today! The one in the town I live in only had two cases of non diet coke products, so I went to the CVS in the next town over. They had TONS of coke products, all tagged with the 3/$10 and the in app $2 off 3. I picked up three cases, some other things, then ended up buying three bottles of tequila. We aren’t huge drinkers (like one cocktail every two months, lol) , but it was $11.99 each, buy 2 get $5 ECB, and they all had $12/3 coupons on them. When we get to checkout the $12 coupon doesn’t take, so they enter it manually. Then the $2 in app coupon wouldn’t take. At first we thought it was because I got one case of Dr. Pepper. (Dr. Pepper is distributed by Coke in our area, and was tagged as part of the sale.) So we swapped that out for another Coke. I had three cases of coke, and the coupon still wouldn’t take. So the supervisor says just pay for it, and if it doesn’t show, she’ll give me $2 cash. So I pay for it. Then they ring up just the cokes and it says the coupon is still there, but can’t be used on the purchase. She tells me that since it is still available she can’t give me the $2 back because I could just go somewhere else and use the in app and end up getting $4 off. Umm, so if it won’t work at your store what makes you think it will work elsewhere? So I returned the cokes. I get out to the car and look over my receipt. Because of the way they entered the $12 coupon it didn’t count against the tequila, it counted against the rest of my purchase, and since ECB can’t be used on alcohol, the $5 ECB I used only detected $4.24 and the $4 one didn’t get posted at all, and I wasn’t given it back! What a waste of my time and money.

  It’s not showing in the online myweeklyad for me either. But when I got my paper ad it’s there on page 3, towards the middle of the page, between the Clairol and Nexxus offers. It wasn’t tagged yet when I shopped on Sunday, but I price checked to be sure. If it doesn’t onlinee up on sale 2/$6, then your area didn’t get the deal. I’ve read some states have been doing test ads for the past 2 + months, and they aren’t getting the same deals as the rest of the regions.

    bought Colgate Max 6 oz., $3. Tried using $0.75/1 Colgate printable coupon and the $2.50 instant coupon printing from the Magic Coupon Machine. The cashier said that both were manufacturer coupons and could only apply one of them. I was thinking that any coupon that prints from the Magic coupon machine was a cvs coupon. Anyone with a similar experience?

  I literally just had the same issue at my CVS and the cashier said the same thing. I declined the deal but as I was leaving, I looked at their circular which says use the Magic Coupon Machine and points out that most circulars have a .50 off coupon. I showed the cashier that they were advertising using two coupons. We came to the conclusion that you must not be able to make any money off their deals. I guess they are fine with using the .50 instead of .75 and breaking even. I have another CVS closer to home where the cashier uses coupons herself – I think I am going to try her tomorrow and see what her answer is. .

  This is a yes and no. CVS allows stacking – one store coupon (like the ones from the red store kiosk) and one manufacturer coupon, like from the newspaper or a printable MQ, for each item. And even when the red machine coupons say “MFR,” they are still store coupons – the MFR on there is just for sales tax purposes. So for a Colgate, you could use both a store and a MQ, although I’ve noticed in the last year or so that the CVS registers won’t allow “overage,” and often if you use coupons which onlinebine to give you a negative total on the item, then it beeps and says something about “exceeds value.” Even if you have other items in the order to absorb the overage. So try a 50 cent MQ instead, it should be free

  Nope. Ecbs show as coupons on the receipt. Rebate is after all coupons, discounts etc. If you pay zero, you’re not eligible for the rebate.

    I have $3/3 Pantene cvs coupon from the last week and $3/$15 shampoos, conditioners,… Also cvs coupon, I tried to use them to buy $16 worth of Pantene shampoos+conditioners,..but the cashier didn’t accept them and the supervisor told her (she could talk directly to me, I was there in front of her !!!) to tell me to call corporate about that she’ll not override them, and she refused also a personnel apponly $2 tide cvs coupon!!!what’s going on???!!!

  Something must wrong with their registers. I tried using some coupons that printed from the kiosk and they all came up Yellow. The cashier said they are no longer allowed to override the system. I said, I thought it was the Red coupons you couldn’t override (a different cashier told me that a few wks ago). She said, well maybe it’s b/c you used other coupons and all these extrabucks.
  I am starting to dislike shopping at CVS. It used to be my favorite drug store, but now it’s just as much a hassle as Wags (which is why I stopped shopping there). I’ve been shopping more at Rite Aid the past few months, that I’m almost to the Gold level, when last year it took almost the full 12 months to hit Gold!

  My Walgreens is wonderful, the cashiers are very helpful but unfortunately there isn’t a lot going there!! And we haven’t a rite aid here, cvs is beonlineing a nightmare for me!!but why they don’t stop send us coupons??they send me tons every week!! I called corporate two weeks ago about the arrogance and the rudeness of their cashiers but nothing was done, they still the same!! They look to me like I’m a criminal, do they know that cvs’ head know perfectly that we get some things for free!!and every thing is calculated!!! It’s bigger then us and them so better be nice each other!!
