   This is an amazing price. My son is a missionary in Senegal, W. Africa and he has one and can watch whatever we get here. It’s a real blessing for him.

   Sorry such a dumb question…but the receiving device only see what’s on the main device at that time….or can they change channels and watch something different?

  Yes, you need internet connection. We used it when we were out of the country for ten months! And yes you can channels! 🙂

  according to their website, if I was watching a show that the slingbox was hooked up to at home, my husband couldn’t watch a different show on the go. the slingbox would need to be attached to a box no one is watching (you can remotely change changes and record). hth

   I’ve never heard of this before but it sounds interesting. Could I use it at my house to watch shows my mom has DVR’d at her house? She records some shows for me on channels I don’t get but the down side is that I have to wait forever to watch them. I’m reading through reviews but thought people here might have experience with it too.

   we have a second tv in our basement that sling box is hooked up to so my brother inlay can get the Patriots games. We can not watch anything else on it when he is watching the game or he sees what we see.

  so your saying if someone is using the slingbox than you cant watch anything else if someone else is home. example…..say im at work and my girlfriend is at home watching her tv show or movie and while im at work i wanna watch a movie or show on my laptop or pad then she would have to watch what im watching?

   For all the above questions, whatever tv you hook it to, you will watch what that TV is on. You can remotely change the channel or access DVR through sling but someone watching the TV it is connected to and someone watching via sling can not watch different things.
