Does anyone know if you can do the phone purchases online? My husband has been wanting to upgrade to the Samsung S5…man, I try to avoid the stores like the plague on Black Friday (fitting name LOL) but to save $200 maybe it’s worth a shot.

Do any of you Black Friday warriors have experience with Best Buy during Thanksgiving/Friday? Is it insane or a bit tamer?

    • Stacy

I have done black Friday in the past it is insane I went 3 hours before store opened and the line was around the building. I will never do that again! I find the one hour walmart deal much easier I did this last year I was in and out of the store.

      • Mel

        Stacy,
How does the Walmart 1 hour warranty work exactly? Are you guaranteed to get the item you want even if there are a hundred people in front of you?

        • Stacy

I am not sure about that. I got to store last year at 6:30 there was no line I asked the associate about the tv he gave me sorta like a rain check I paid for it. Then I went home and registered it, then received a email to pick the item up at the store I wanted. I was in and out of the store in like 10 minutes.

          • eyez

wow stacy, you make me actually wanna try walmart on bf. i’ve been terrified. : ) if i do. i hope i get in/out like u

            • Stacy

Not on Bf on Thanksgiving is there one hour deal

            • eyez

              oh, thank you

            • cbeths

Be aware the 1-hour guarantee is only for the items specified on the back and front of the ad. There is a little video on the walmart site about how it works. You have to be there by 7pm to get your item (or voucher for the item.)

    • Laura

I LOVE black friday and the crowds, etc. and I would never set foot in a Best Buy on BF. They are the most insane store! Just my 2 cents worth.

    • ash

Karen. You should go into best buy now! Talk with an associate. Their offering up some hot deals if you trade in your old smart phone you can get a gift card $200 plus in some case phones are like .01 and it’s changes your monthly bill by like $5.00 my sister just went Nov 1st and my husband and I did it a few months back. Call and ask ahead or if you close by just go in and ask. I find best buy employees to be so friendly and helpful.

  2. Janie

Looks like the portable dvd player only went down 1 penny.. not worth the hassle

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So sorry about that….the regular price of the DVD player is actually $79.99.

  3. Nicole

    HA!
*Insignia 7″ Portable DVD Player with Swivel Screen $39.99 (Reg. $40)

    • Victoria

Lol, man thats a deal!! they will probably run out fast 😉 haha

      • Just Me

Ha! I was thinkin might as well buy it now Hahahahaha what a deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Whoops! So sorry about that….the regular price of the DVD player is actually $79.99. I just updated the post!

  4. Nichole

Will the same deals in the circular be offered online at the time the store opens on Thursday or all day? I just keep seeing in store at those times or go online all day. I want the $79.99 beats headphones for my daughter and just wonder when I need to jump online to order–6pm or midnight Thursday morning?

    • Amber

I’m wondering the same thing. I really want the 50″ TV, but I can’t imagine navigating that insanity with a 1-year old in tow.

      • jesse

Please keep your baby home, safe, and warm. I used to work at BB and shop BF deals 5 years ago. Not safe for little ones, especially babies. Too cold, crazy crowds, pushing, running. Please keep babies at home, have someone else watch them while you shop. You’ll have to b fast to get the deals.

      • Krista

It’s hard enough not to have a meltdown as an adult. Also, other people get pushy, literally, and you wouldn’t want your baby to be hurt. It’s just no place for a baby, toddler, or really any younger child. Most of the crazy good deals are very limited, and unless you are one of the first few in line, you won’t get one. Some of the deals are available online, sometimes starting at midnight, so try for those instead. The only Black Friday shopping I plan to do in the stores is CVS and Walgreens – those aren’t too crazy!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nichole and Amber! From looking at the first page of the ad scan, it appears these deals will be available all day on Thursday (11/27) and Friday (11/28). Hope that helps!

      • Crista

Amber – just a note that the 50′ TV on the first page specifically says ‘In Store Only’ so it doesn’t look like that deal will be available online. I was hoping it would be!

      • Janelle

The 50″ TV looks like a door buster special so it probably will not be available all day Thursday (11/27) and Friday (11/28) due to limited quantities and general demand. It is possible, but in my BB BF shopping experience, the In-Store only items sell out rather early.

    • Diana

If you have my rewards elite or elite plus you can order the beats now! I ordered my husband some yesterday and get them tomorrow… Last Black Friday I was also able to shop online like the week before Black Friday.. That’s what’s amazing about the rewards with best buy

      • Laura

How do I get to be an elite member? Thanks!

        • Diana

If you spend a certain amount in a year you automatically get elite and they will send you a card in the mail

      • Mel

May I ask how much do you have to spend to be an Elite member? I bought a fridge this year there but haven’t seen anything in the mail to upgrade my membership.

        • Jennifer

You have to spend 1500 or more per year for elite and even more for elite plus.

        • Diana

It’s 1500 for elite and 3500 for elite plus

  5. Joanna

If I shop online can I ship to store for free?

    • Karen

Usually the stores offer up free shipping as part of the Thanksgiving and Black Friday deals, straight to your door. I’ve bought online via the onlinefort of my own home for years on B.F. and I don’t think I have paid 1 cent for shipping that whole time!

  6. ana

How many quantities do they usually carry? Because I remember going their years ago and by the time I got in line, every thing was sold out except for the usual B.S. things.

  7. Diana

If you are a elite or elite plus with my rewards you are able to shop Black Friday online early… I was able to order the beats for my husband yesterday at the Black Friday price and because I’m elite plus I get free 2 day shipping!

    • Mel

I just logged in and I am actually an Elite member as well! 🙂 didn’t even know it…
Now I see that not all the colors for the Beats are available at that BF price. Do you think I could buy them and exchange for another color later?

      • Diana

I believe those are the only colors they are offering on Black Friday as well so I’m not sure if they will allow you to exchange

  8. vmm

that looks like a fantastic deal on the Nikon Coolpix S9600 which has great reviews…might be worththe hassle(or online shop on thanksgiving)
    Thanks Collin…I NEED a new/faster camera!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welonlinee! 🙂

  9. Meghann

What time do you shop online Thursday? Do the deals start At 12 am or when the store opens? Can we get a confirmation?

  10. michellini

I saw there is a store with people camped out. Two weeks early that is crazy. Thanks for posting the deal though

  11. jess

As an ex BB employee, I know that ea. store only gets limited number of “door buster deals”. Ex: only got 12 of the laptops they sell super cheap every BF. Once they’re gone that’s it. Thats why people camp out, and some turn around and sell on ebay or for profit on special lmtd stock like Madden games, or those elusive PS3s when they came out.

  12. Jennifer

Does anyone know of a good deal for the Polk Omni wireless sound bar? I don’t think I’ve seen it advertised anywhere.

  13. Sandra

I may have totally missed the boat here, but are there any Black Friday deals on the movie Frozen? I’d love to get it for my toddler.

  14. Karen

Does anybody know what time they are going to release their 11/20 prices/deals online? Midnight?

  15. Marie

Page 15 of the BF Best Buy ad says Net10 LG Ultimate 2 No Contract $29.99 (Reg. $129.99) not the *Tracfone LG Ultimate 2 No Contract $29.99 (Reg. $129.99). I prefer Tracfone. Darn. Does anyone know of a place I can get the Tracfone version of this for 29.99 on BF?
