      Verify your gift card before you go.
      We went last week to have lunch with an Applebee’s GC and we couldn’t use.
      They said “Gift card number is invalid”. I was so embarrassed and left the restaurant after we paid with OUR credit card.
      Everybody was looking at us like we were trying to use a GC that it was fake.
      After 3 business days my sister in law called Customer service (she gave me the GC for my bday) and they said that it wasn’t any problem with that GC and blame the employees restaurant.
      I am so scared to use it but I don’t know how to tell my sis in law 🙁

    I’m a member at Sams and got 5 $10 gift cards to Coldstone Creamery for $40! Those make nice little gifts and each only $7.50. I also purchased Red Robin 2 $25 cards for $40 and they had Uno Pizza and something else.

    FATZ Restaurant is offering a promotion through 12/31/13 when you purchase $30.00 in Fatz gift cards, you receive $10.00 in Fatz gift certificates. Gift cards never expire and the gift certificates are valid 12/26/13 through 3/31/14. (Fatz has 48 restaurants in the Southeast…and the food is delicious!!!)

    Krogers has a $10/$50 digital coupon for the Maggianos/Chilis cards. Plus, it’s 4X fuel rewards time! AND if you’re signed up for Maggianos emails, they normally send a $10 coupon for your birthday month, which can be used in conjunction with the GCs. Woohoo!

        I show it loaded onto my card – I don’t remember when it came out, but in may be no longer available (to load). Expiration date is 11/30 so it was probably available at least a week or two ago. It’s actually listed as a $10/$50 Brinker Gift Card. Fine print says that offer and/or product may not be available in all states.

    Last year in the Black Friday ad, Logans had a coupon for buy $25 in Logan’s gift cards and get $10 bonus. If it’s not urgent, you might want to see if that coupon is going to be in the Black Friday paper.

    Has anyone heard if Buffalo Wild Wings is having a promo like last year’s? Like many chains, they also handed out reward cards (good through February) when you purchased a gift card, *but* these reward cards were loaded with random amounts ($5-$50 I think) AND if you read the fine print carefully, you could send in SASEs to request FREE reward cards. I got $60 in reward cards for the price of 8 stamps!

    Watch the bonus cards as they sometimes have limited usage. I remember last year someone (maybe Green Mill) gave the bonus card but it had to be used between 1/1 and 2/28. Always read the details unfortunately. Bonus cards, etc. are different than gift cards.

    My college son loves food gift certificates!! He has a Steak and Shake nearby so I have taken advantage of that but the closest places are McDonald’s and Sonic. Has anyone heard of any deals on gift cards from these places??? I was able to get him a free one from McD’s last year through the Coke Rewards days of Christmas deal. Has anyone heard if they’ll be doing that again? (Last year was our first year with a Coke Rewards account so I don’t know if that is an every year thing or not.)
