   I ordered a purse from here and it was very poor quality. I had read reviews warning of this but ignored them. The zipper sticks – leather peels off. These are NOT the same quality purses that you would purchase at a department store.

  I believe that! However, at the outlets, some of the bags are actually the same ones they sell at the department store.. I had done some research beforehand and the lady at the outlet was hoping I was going to grad school in that town because she was impressed! ; ) I snagged a bag that was 400+ in the department store weeks before for less than 175 at least (can’t exactly remember, but there was a steep discount)… The bag has held up just like all the other coach bags I’ve had. Fourth of July sales at the outlets are the best from my experience! I think it’s way better to purchase in the stores so you know what you’re getting.

   I’ve noticed that a lot of items at these outlet stores are “made for outlet” quality. But, if you know what to look for you can find Coach items that were made for retail and simply sent to the outlet store because they were last season.

   I am wondering if you just had a bad experience, Susan. I have ordered 2 purses from the outlet online, and have not had any problems at all. My friend has also ordered several over the years, and all of the ones she has purchased are holding up great. I would reonlinemend the outlet site – seems to me that they are deep discounts because they may be “last years style” or maybe a product that they had access inventory.

   I have been buying purses from the Coach outlet for years and all of them were just last season purses and never have they fallen apart or not been authentic.

   I had a friend who did this deal around her birthday and scored a really cute purse at the outlet store, and it’s still in great shape! She carries it every day.

   I’ve also ordered from the outlet several times and have always been pleased. The only reason I’ve ever made returns was just because I didn’t like the style as well as I’d thought I would. Quality hasn’t been an issue for me. I LOVE the online outlet. 😉

  This is how it worked when I purchased a purse in July at the outlet in Atlantic City. It had the ‘original’ price, a slash through that and then he discounts were taken off that price. Love my bag!

    I was at our local Outlet store yesterday (brand new, just opened a week ago!) and they had an extra 40% off clearance items plus an extra 50% off everything in the store. It was an exciting first trip to the Outlet store.

    I recently bought a tote for my mom that retailed for $359.00. It was on sale at the outlet for $159.00. I just saw the same exact tote on sale online for $118.00!!!!!

    I just bought the tote online and I’m returning the one I bought at the outlet. I just save $41.00 by reading this post!!!!

    Coach stands by their products; my sister returned a coach bag to a store several years after purchase because it was pulling apart. the store looked up the value from years ago and told her to pick out a bag of onlineparable value on the spot.
