I did this deal this morning and scored 10 Rose Art glue for free! I used one $1/3MQ. No problem. Yeah!

      nice!

I have no use for this stuff personally but I wonder if I should take advantage of these deals to donate. I don’t want to take away from others who need these and look for deals but if I just do it in moderation would that be bad?

I’m never donating again I’ve decided. I scooped up a bunch of stuff last year at 90% clearance and did the penny deals and stuff thruout the summer to help with my this years giveaway at my University. We had string backpacks stuffed full of supplies along with a free meal and free games to play. The people were so rude. I kid you not, one family thanked me. They all had extremely nice vehicles, escalades and 2012 dodge pickups littered the parking lot. Pedicures and iPhones were everywhere. The designer bags way out numbered any other handbag. People were actually onlineplaining about every thing. Some of the crayolas were rose art and the glue sticks were off brand, that wasn’t good enough for them. The sodas at the meal were Walmart brand and that definitely wasn’t good enough for them. They wanted real backpacks instead of string bags. They were going to their vehicles, putting their bags up and onlineing to get more of the stuff they didn’t like. onlinee on. I have onlinepletely lost faith in society.

I understand where you are onlineing from. Two years ago, I donated a 100 ten packs of pencils to a childhood friend for his fundraiser. I paid for the postage to send the items. I did receive a thank you nor did I receive an email, text, or anything of the sort saying he received the package. I have learned the ones in need will need items through the entire school year. Maybe you can visit a local homeless shelter during the off season and donate the items.

Erin- I am sorry that happened to you and I can see why you decided what you did but please don’t let that discourage you from donating. There are alot of schools out there that would be so very greatful for your donation. Contact your local boys and girls club or other schools to see what they need. From what it sounds like those kids really didn’t need the donation and just wanted to be greedy. Please reconsider. I know our Staples, walgreens and local grocery stores have a donation drop off.

They have the super sticky post-it notes in the Wal-Mart ad as of today marked down to $1.00…so if you have the coupon…a little bit better deal….but this may be by region?

  4. I Love Shoes

I also redemmed 250 MyCokeRewards points for a $5 Best Buy Reward Zone Certificate. Pair this with the deals and the items will be free 🙂

Our Best Buy has a tiny school supply section by their registers. The Rose Art items mentioned in this post weren’t advertised as being on sale, but they sure did ring up at 10 cents a piece! I bought a whole bunch and donated them to my kids’ school 🙂 Thanks Collin!
