  It was the most incredible trip…. my boyfriend (I use this term loosely we have been together 9 years) and I went as a celebratory trip for my having graduated law school and taken the bar exam… we went at the end of August.. we did a cruise that left and returned to Seattle… friends of ours that went the same time of year told us it would be cold… turns out the week we went there was a serious heat wave and it was 95 degrees every day! it was incredible to see people swimming in the pools on deck with this magnificent glaciers in the background

   I have lived here for 6 years. Nice place to visit but I would suggest onlineing in the summer months unless you just love the freezing cold and darkness. And be prepared to spend a lot of money. Stuff is expensive here. The views are very nice though. That will be the one thing I miss, seeing the mountains everyday.
