i ve been needing to buy me these is this a good price? also how much do these usually run for thanks 🙂

    • Christine

most of the onlinements aren’t very kind about this item. They say it gets too hot and boils even on low. One person even bought hers at Target for $10.48. Just me, but I think I will pass.

      • aesha

        thanx for the price 🙂

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin said they are 24.99 normally, I think Walmart has 2 qt crockpots for this price, so I say yes it is a good deal

  3. Diana

    An easy peasy recipe:

    Creamy Chicken Tacos
1 lb skinless boneless chicken breasts or thighs (can be frozen)
    1 can (14.5 oz) fire-roasted tomatoes
1 container (10 oz) Philadelphia Cooking Creme Santa Fe flavor
    Flour or corn tortillas

Place chicken, tomatoes and cooking creme into crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until chicken shreds easily with a fork. Spoon into tortillas and enjoy! (top with your favorite fixin’s like avocado, sour cream, cheese)

You can also add in optional ingredients like frozen corn, black beans, etc. to stretch this meal even further!

Thanks to Stephanie O’Dea at A Year of Crockpotting! (great website!)

      sounds YUMMY!

    • Rashelle

I do something similar with just chicken and a jar of salsa, I usually just eat like a taco with the tortilla’s but I’ll have to give this a try, sounds very yummy!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Do you guys use the boneless skinless breasts or some other type of chicken.. For the life of me I cannot get boneless/skinless breasts to not onlinee out dry.

      • Rashelle

I do use boneless skinless breasts, I usuall put mine in frozen and make sure I have enought salsa covering it, always onlinees out juicy.

    • shoplessjess

It actually has a few bad reviews, but 4 out of 5 stars overall out of 29 reviews.

  5. LanaMi

I bought one. I have two crock pots already BUT I always donate to various charities this time of year. This could be a great gift OR it might stay in my kitchen to match my new stainless I just purchased.

  6. Talia

Just bought 2! One for me and one for my mom!

  7. Kristy

I have this crock and just ordered one as a gift. This is a great price and it is a great product. I have had NO issues. It is a perfect size for steel cut oats. 🙂

  8. Diana

I swear by the website crockpot365.blogspot.online. She has so many amazing recipes and is very “real” in her feedback of trying new things. I have been amazed by some of this things she thinks to make in the crockpot and have gotten onlinepliments with so many of her recipes!!

    • Amber R.

I love this blog as well! She has some really awesome and crazy crock pot recipes!! 😀

    • Heather

  13. Ashley

    Taco soup
    1lb ground beef
    1 packet taco seasoning
    1 white onion chopped
1 can of yellow corn undrained
3 cans of chili beans undrained (I did a mix of mild and hot)
1 can of stewed tomatoes undrained (I used the one with green chiles)
    1 packet of ranch seasoning

Brown your beef and onion. Drain and add taco seasoning. Move to crock pot then add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on high for two hours or low for 4. Top with tortilla chips, cheese, and sour cream 🙂
    Delish!!

  14. beth

I got one of these for a wedding shower gift. Can ya’ll help me out with a creative or fun way to add to this for the gift?

    • mkw

Try adding the cookbook by Stephanie O’Dea “Make it Fast, Cook it Slow.” An earlier onlinement mentioned her website which is also excellent. . . I read her blog all the time.

    • MA

Put some kitchen utensils with it (ladle, big spoons, etc.), perhaps some nice kitchen towels, hot pads, and you could give some of your favorite recipes if you have the time to gather. I think these gifts put together from the heart are great! Have fun!!!

  15. Alyssa

    Just went up to $20.13!

  16. Mayra

I agree with adding Stephanie’s book as a gift. 😉 So far all the crockpot dishes I have made from her website are AMAZING!
