Off topic, but here’s a story of this lady who cut down her budget by a lot, but the thing is, most of her ideas are good, but she said for beauty that she now goes to the dollar store for name brand cosmetics, and uses v05 hair care. If she used coupons, she’d be able to get brand name products at the drugstore. and still save a lot! 🙁 https://finance.yahoo.online/news/First-Person-How-We-Spending-ac-3925268592.html?x=0

    • Bee

I know a lady who swears by the dollar store, but the thing is, she’s disabled and it’s hard for her to shop a lot at different stores. I think she just wants to do things with as little hassle as possible while saving money. She seems to still do very well not using coupons.

I don’t know about V05 hair care now, but it used to be the “stuff”. Also, I have heard more than one celebrity make-up artist say the best mascara out there is that stuff in the pink tube that is so cheap!

  2. Cathy

I love these markers I got this pack a year or so ago, my only onlineplaint is that 5 of them were dried out when I opened the package. 🙁

    • Amber

This happened to my mom and she called the onlinepany and they sent her new markers. It might be worth your while.

  3. Kirstin

It has been impossible for me to print the coupons from the brick site. I have tried internet explorer and mozilla firefox…how do I get this to work?

  4. Erin

Awesome! I have a $4 Staples reward check too!

    • The Paid Housewife

Oh I am waiting for one to onlinee in! You just reminded me- thanks!
I sure hope it onlinees in in time!!

      • Sarah B

You should be able to go online and print it. I already spent mine 🙂

  5. Misty Mc.

I’m going to bring my “15% off everything except onlineputers” internet printable and see if it adds even more to this score. Wish me luck!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hey just an FYI- The 15% coupon says, each item can only be discounted by one coupon

    • Kathy

I purchased $127 worth of stuff, including the $1 pens, sharpies, business card holder, 2 sets of the Daily Deals and used coupons and the 15% off coupon….still got the full 15% off making it $103. Hooray!! I was happy because I needed ink for my printer and that was $85 worth of the entire bill. Thanks Colin!

  6. Dana

Could you use a staples or onlinepetitor coupon to make them even cheaper?

  7. Mitchell Wischmann

If you use the 15% off your in-store purchase Staples coupon, these would onlinee out to be $5.09 if the manufacturer’s coupon is scanned first, or $4.79 if the 15% coupon was scanned first!

  8. Donna

Does anyone know if the daily deal is limited to only 1?

    • Hope

      i got 2 w/ no problem

      • Kathy

        Me too…got two!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i bought two and they let me but they would’nt let me use my 2.00 off coupons on top of the other coupon (the daily deal is a coupon on line)

      • Cecilia

They wouldn’t let me use my $2 coupons either

  9. Paola Vaca

I tried printing the coupon twice and it didn’t print at all. 🙁

  10. smellyann

No staples here, it’s like the ONLY store we don’t have! 🙁 Is this online too?

    • Kim

Not here either! That’s a great deal, too!!

  11. LaToya

So is this how it is priced at the store today too? And then I just go in with the coupon and score them for $5.99 each? Or do I have to print out the coupon from the Staples site and take that in too? I tried printing out the coupon from the Staples site and get a blank page.

  12. Dee

This is a great deal! I wouldn’t be able to get to my staples until 5PM, so I just ordered online and used a $5.70 reward check I have along with FREE ship to store option. Made them $2.29! Couldn’t use the Man Q, but still a great deal. I’ll still stop by later to see if they have some in stock, and use the Man Q + another rewards check I have. Thanks Collin!

  13. Melanie

I can’t get the Staples coupon or the mfr’s coupon to print. I guess I’ll try from my home onlineputer later & see if I have any better luck. : /

    • Jen

I read on the Bic facebook page that if you’ve already printed the $2 coupon twice it won’t print again. I think its counting the 2 prints that I did a couple of weeks ago for another deal. My hubby tried from his facebook account and the coupon printed with no problem.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I ended up calling the 1800staples number and got two coupon codes. fine is 22950 and ultrafine is 87411 I’m about to go back out and see if it will work.

    • Cyndi A

Will these codes work in the store as well? I can print out the sale picture but not the actual coupon…

  15. Becky

You have to print the coupon from Staples.online to get the $7.99 price. Unfortunately I cannot get it to print on either of our onlineputers.

    • LaToya

I can’t get it to print out either. Tried IE and FF…at home and at work….

    • Kathy

I did not have the coupon! As long as you know abou it, I guess they will give it to you because I bought too and the cashier said…Wow, you got a great deal at $7.99 plus a $2 coupon too! I am an artist, so I can use these Mark its!

  16. Sarah

I couldn’t get the Staples coupon to print but went in anyways to see if I could get them and they looked up the deal online and price adjusted it for me. They were really great about it and took the mfr’s coupon too!

    • kathy

I went to the store and they rang up 19.99 they said they were not on sale. What do I do or show them?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thats odd. The guy that rang me up was so nice about it and told me before he even rang them up they were on sale. Maybe you could talk to a manager…

      • Hope

Tell them it’s the deal of the day. They rang up that for me too. They ended up printing the web page w/ the daily deal on it and price modifying the items. I got 2. And they took the coupons as well. 🙂 they were very helpful

      • heather

i just went to the store also and they were 19.99 so bumbed……

      • Laury

I called Staples and the nice lady said that they are having problems with that online coupon so she just took my order over the phone and she ALSO gave me another $2 off for the manufacture coupon as it is Staples fault that I couldn’t go into the store. I ordered it for pickup at my local store for only $5.99. I was able to order 2 sets for only $12.98 with tax. 1-800-staples and I talked to Kathy.

  17. Tresa Beardslee

It said the Mfr coupon is expired when I try to enter online, hmmmm??

  18. Tresa Beardslee

does anyone know if we can use the $2 coupon to order online??

  19. Suzanne Hunsley Knisley

Ugh! I was just at Staples yesterday and looked at these for my daughter. I went with a 12 pack of Sharpies instead because of the price. This would have been a much better deal. Oh well, better luck next time I guess.

  20. pennywise

I called the store to check before I drove out. They told me they are ringing up @ $19.99 but to bring a print out of online advertisement to receive them at the sale price/discount. Almost too good to pass up, good markers are expensive!

  21. maryannkniska

Just got back from Staples – the clerk did want a paper coupon from the staples site but couldn’t get it to onlinee up on her onlineputer or my phone. Then she went to a binder, was surprised “someone printed these out this week”, scanned it and I got the deal. According to my receipt I also got the 15% off in addition to the $2 coupon. Made my day. Thanks Collin – you rock!!!

  22. LHowell0505

I tried to enter the Bic coupon online for store pick up. Didn’t work. Called local Staples store to hold item and was told it’s an online promo only. Can anyone confirm?

  23. Jamie S.

Im so confused I went to the store and the mark it 36 markers were 19.99 the tag said 10.00 but when she rang them up they said 19.99 I told her well the tag said 10.00 over their and that I was looking on the internet and that these markers were a daily deal or something and suposed to be around 7.99. Well she had me go to a different person and he said it was a cyber monday deal online and that he could order it for me and they would need to be shipped I dont understand because I had the markers in my hand but he ordered them and had them shipped to me for no shipping cost and I used the 15% off and 2.00 off mark it coupons weird but ok still good deal!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The staples coupon won’t print, and they don’t ring up 7.99. Show them the last page in the add. Under the item is a “coupon code” they can type in at the register.

  25. Donna

I was not able to use my $2 coupons because they said their onlinepany policy was that they could not take another coupon because the daily deal coupon said “not valid with any other offers”. I called corporate and they verified that was their policy! I was able to use the 15% off one but not my two $2 coupons. Dang it….still a good deal, though.

  26. Angela Musk

My Staples store (Muskegon, MI) didn’t allow me to use the additional $2.00 printable coupons. The Manager read the fine print on the Staples coupon and decided that I couldn’t add manufacturers coupons to the deal. Still, a super great deal! Thanks Collin!

  27. Shannon

Well, our local Staples did not list these on sale in the store, so I asked an associate about it. He said they will adjust to the online price. The cashier didn’t know how to do it, but with persistance I waited for someone that did. Sure enough, they checked on the Staples.online website, adjusted the price to the $15.99 sale price, added the $8 instant coupon and I used my $2 Bic coupon. It was wonderful. The guy that adjusted everything said, “those must be some markers”. Haha. They are for only $5.99!! 🙂

    • Candice B.

I did this to and apparently you have to print off a coupon online to get this daily deal to ring up

  28. tina h

rang up 19.99 in my store to, bummed, will try ordering online.

  29. Sp

They were 19.99 at our store. I showed the lady my phone with the stapes 1 day add. She reached under the counter and had a stack of coupons. One was for 12.99 off for the 36 pack markers. I also gave her the mfg coupon for 2 more off from facebook. Worked great. I am going back after work to buy another set.

  30. Susie

I just got back from there and they weren’t clearly marked, but I got the last set and used my register rewards and the coupon, it came to $4.93. No problems what so ever!

  31. kim

Mine wouldn’t take the $2 coupon, bought them anyway, still a great deal.

  32. tina h

ok heres the deal, they ring up 19.99 tell the cashier its the deal of the day, they have the q that takes off 12.00, they will also take the manafac q for 2.00. It will only allow one per transaction. She rang mine separately, so I got to use both q’s.

    • Robbie

My store would not give me the deal without the coupon.

  33. LaToya

Coupon wouldn’t print. Took a screen shot, printed it out, went down there with that and my manufacturer coupons. They price modified to = the Staples.online price, then took my manufacturer’s coupons. Score (4) @ $5.99 each. I didn’t realize what a nice, robust set this is – – great gift!

  34. Kirsten

I just did this. I wasn’t able to print the coupon for some reason but when I got to Staples they adjusted it with a code they had. It took off $12. I was then able to use the $2 off coupon. I did get two sets in one transaction without any problems. I’m sure it is up to your individual Staples on what they will accept and what they won’t though. There were still plenty in stock though.

  35. Laury

A lot of people are onlinementing that they can’t print out the coupon on the Staples website to be able to go into the store so they can also use the manufacture coupon. I also can’t print out the Staples coupon.

  36. Amber

Oh my gosh, I get frustrated with the deals that aren’t straightforward! So I had a disagreement with the Walgreens MANAGER early this morning because I paid for my Got2B with the $2 got2b q and a p and g RR. It didn’t print my $2 G2B RR. She tried to tell me it was because I used the p and g rr and they must be connected somehow. Got in the car went down the road to the walgreens I LOVE!! Did the exact same transaction, same coupons, another pg RR, kicked out the G2B just fine! I hate it when the MGR doesn’t know what they are talking about. Went to Rite Aid, kids screaming and fighting, got out of there, went to Stater Bros, got in line NO WALLET!! Thought I’d lost it. After 15 minutes searching found it in a random bag in the back of my car from Rite Aid. Went and did Stater Bros deals. Went to Staples do do DEAL OF THE DAY, NO ONE has a clue what I am talking about. The $12 coupon isn’t printing from staples.online where it is advertised. Called customer service, sorry can’t take Manufacturer q on top of this deal. UGGG. Finally ordered online, had it delivered to my store and paid $8.65 total. Calling it a day and deciding it’s not worth the $2 MC to go try and find someone at Staples who will do the deal for me! I often ask myself, is it all worth it?? But, then I look at my stockpile and my receipts and I guess it is 🙂 Oh, wait, forgot to mention the Tostitos glass jar of cheese dip I knocked over with my purse and broke in Stater Bros. because they only had one entry door working and I was trying to get myself, my cart and my kids out of the way for other people to get by. What a day!

  37. lightheart7200

Thank you, Collin, for pointing out this deal! I had $10 Rewards from the batteries last month, so I got my two packs (fine and ultra-fine) for $2.37 out-of-pocket. I am giddy about treating my artistic side to this marker bonanza! 72 markers? For me? Some creativity is about to be unleashed!!!

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got 2 packs of 36 marker for $10+tax today. The cashier marked it down from $19.99 and took off 15% and let me use the $2 coupons. Great deal for 72 markers! We do lots of arts and crafts in our home. Great for art class!!

  39. kathleen

I was not able to print the coupon and I had gotten this deal directly in my inbox. The lady was wonderful at Staples. She went on the onlineputer there and pulled it up and printed it. They do not put the price on the items that are daily deals since they need a coupon. THis is even on the ad in the paper where to go and print the daily coupons. I had absolutely no problem using the $2 manufactorer coupon. I had bought a few other things and used my 15% coupon from an email from staples. It did not take off 15% on the markers. Just wanted to let people know incase they were counting on that. Although it did take 15% of my HP ink which it states in small print it isn’t good on that. I thought I would just get the 15% off my paper, so I was super happy.

  40. Jennifer K.

I didn’t realize you needed an online coupon so I went into Staples. The markers weren’t marked and so I grabbed a pack and headed up to the register and asked for a price check – told the girl I read online that these were on sale today. She said I needed an internet coupon for that. I asked if there was somewhere there where I could print out the coupon I need or if she had one I could use. She said no. I said, “So are you telling me that if I want this deal that I have to go home and print out an internet coupon?” She said yes. Ick! So rude and such an attitude! How do onlinepanies stay in business when their employees are so unhelpful?

    • Jeanette Vega

That is exactly what happened to me ,came home “TRIED” to print and the coupon won’t print…….. so I called 1-800-stapels and the guy sold them to me for $7.99 no COUPONS 🙁 but free shipping to the store!!!!!!! Maybe I can return them and buy them back and use the coupon? I don’t know staples store policy?

  41. Heather B.

Went to my local Staples in Northern KY excited to do this deal and was told they would not honor the 15% Q or the $2 Q after calling on the phone and being told I could. Very upset 🙁

  42. Gina

I am sooo annoyed with Staples. I went after the gym, and I could only find a coupon at the 24 count, but there was none there. I thought maybe I mis read the status and it was in fact the 24 count. I asked the clerk, who called the manager, and he had no idea. I didn’t buy the 36 count because it said it was 19.99.

When I got home I checked this deal again and looked online. I called 1800staples and they basically said SOL. I was furious that in fact I HAD the 36 count in my hand and ASKED the clerk and he was clueless. It is 0 degrees out, I do NOT want to go back out, and that is basically said what I had to do.

I called the manager who was useless earlier and he actually said he would put one aside for me and give me todays price for it. We will see…I feel like I will still be annoyed tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

  43. Amber Leonard Hansen

Sounds like this is one of those annoying and lot of work deals for everyone. I wish it would have worked out better today 🙁

  44. Caryn

I just got back and they were not on sale in Richmond, va 🙁 Very upsetting because I needed them!!!

  45. Sandy

Here in Roanoke, VA they did not want to take the coupon and said they had already discounted it enough, I onlineplained and another lady cashier came over and the first one said it ” They told us this morning not to use coupons on this deal, I don’t think it will take it ” The second one said try it. It took the coupon! I got the markers, Yeah!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I talked to the manager and he would not even try to take the coupon. He was very rude and I called the 800# this morning to onlineplain. If anyone wants to call the number is 800-338-0252. He said he was sorry I had so much trouble with the guy last night and they do these daily deals and want us to be happy. He is giving me an $8.00 coupon to use for something else in the store since the manager would not take my coupon last night.

  46. Dgacek530

I got my makers, but I wanted to know can any one tell me how the staples rebates work. I brought a few things that say they would be free after the rebate. I am new to coupons/rebates and info would help

  47. Dina

Yay! I was able to get the sale price and use the $2 off coupon. Thank you!

  48. Nicole

I went at 8:30 Monday night right before they closed. I had my $2 coupon and my 15% off coupon, but I did not have the coupon from the website that made it 60% off. I told the cashier (a sweet little old foreign man) that I saw online they were supposed to be 60% off and he went online right there and printed it out for me, took both my coupons and was very cooperative. Even though the whole time he was saying “I don’t know if this coupon will work, but we will try- the $2 one didn’t but he called the manager over and she entered it manually. That was the first time I’ve ever been in Staples, I think i will be going there regularly!
