Ready for the ultimate Oreo dessert?
The simplicity of just whipping up some heavy cream and adding a couple of layers of Oreo cookies inside a springform pan is the ultimate easy summer dessert idea. I love that the kids can help make this versatile and appealing summer treat, and there’s no baking involved!
This delicious icebox cake is made with classic Oreo Cookies and chocolate-flavored whipped cream filling. Once everything is in the fridge overnight, the cookies soften, and it taste more like a “cake”. The result is a rich and creamy dessert that tastes fancy, yet is super easy to make!
It has a rich chocolate mouse taste and everyone will LOVE it.
Does this no-bake Oreo dessert go in the freezer or the fridge?
Truthfully, I have tried either and a mix of both. It’s up to your preference. If stored in the fridge, the cake will be softer almost like a no-bake cheesecake texture. If you store it in the freezer it’s more like a frozen ice cream cake. If frozen, you’ll need to allow some time to soften to be able to cut it.
We sometimes freeze the leftovers and then let it thaw for a few minutes to serve again! Yum!
