   Just a heads up that it took about 30 minutes for the associates at the store to figure out how to ring this up at the membership desk, and then at the register after checking my purchases out it asked me to pay again. It all got straightened out and it’s a fantastic deal! Just wanted others to know to plan ahead that it may take a little time, but well worth it.

   Was just in there yesterday buying stuff cuz my membership expires on Tuesday. I’m planning to renew but not right now. Wish they had incentives for existing members. They are like Amazon in that respect.

  Switch it up. We us tally always had my hubby as primary. But when I saw this deal I ended up getting it under mine & it wasn’t a problem. So now I look did Collin to post sams deals whenever I need to renew. So we go back & forth on who is primary/secondary holder. Hope that helps.

   I went in to redeem my code for this new membership this morning, it took less than 10 minutes and I was able to add secondary card member, will just have to go in for picture and card. I was a secondary member on a regular membership and I was still able to sign up for this offer. Thanks for sharing the info

  I have the same thing, I called and I was told to wait 72 hours for everything to load and if I still do not see it, to call then they will fix it. Hope they honor their promotion.

   You have to fight with them to get these rewards. Sam’s Club customer service sucks and it seems as though the stores have zero onlinemunication with their corporate office and none of the employees never know about these deals.

   In the past, this type of offer was open to “new” members, but new was defined as not having been a member for a certain amount of time (I think it was less than a year). I couldn’t find any information on this, so I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of information somewhere. Thanks!

    I got this deal yesterday. I would suggest having the offer emailed to you, and then printing it off and handing that to the cashier. The email lists baby steps for them to follow. I was told yesterday that if you had an account, and membership had lapsed for even one day, you are eligible for this deal. Good luck!

    My membership expires this week. My husband was the secondary on my account and we were able to sign up with this deal. I had to put him as the primary but it is a wonderful deal!!!! Thanks Hip2Save!!!!

    I did this deal last week and it worked perfectly. The Sam’s Club associate knew of the offer and only needed the codes in the email. It took probably 10 minutes to get set up because it is first a regular membership that I paid the $45 for and then she did a free upgrade to the plus membership. My membership had expired end of January and I also didn’t see any restrictions in regards to being able to get a new one. This is a fantastic deal and I was so excited about it. To be honest, I love Sam’s Club and I was having some withdrawal issues. 🙂 Their ciabatta rolls are fantastic and they have a nice clothes selection.

  I checked my card and the free fresh food items have not been uploaded yet. I purchased the membership online late Wed evening (5/18) and got my picture ID card at Sam’s on Thurs evening. CS rep said it could take 24 hours for the food items to be uploaded. I’ll check again later this week and if not there, will call Sam’s to inquire about this.

  How do you know if the food items are loaded to your card? Do you just have to purchase the food and hope that the amount onlinees off? I’ve been looking on my account on their website and can’t see anything listing the “free food” items that I am suppose to have.

  I went into my local Sam’s Club and talked to a CS membership rep. She gave me a “coupon” with the item numbers and it had a written date (30 days from beginning of promo…so an expiration date of 6/23 for me). She said to show the cashier the “coupon” with the item numbers on it and items should be automatically taken off then (your Sam’s picture ID will also be needed). I haven’t done this yet, but will by 6/23. If there’s a problem at the time of purchase, talk with the Supervisor/Manager. I’m sure we won’t be the only ones and they are aware of the “glitches”. My Sam’s CS reps (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) have always been pleasant, understanding and helpful during this promo event.
